Then I would be buying more games brand new (assuming they were still good games).

it'd be a major problem for me, if there were no strings attached, then i'd have more games

Nah. No good. I already have too many games. I'd still just buy the ones I wanted. As for the DLC, I just want to pay full price for a full game. Whatever the MSRP is, I want a complete experience. Anything beyond that needs to be extra. If the MSRP is $80, I want a full game. If the MSRP is $1, I want a full game. If I want more, it's good to know it's there but don't skimp on the game.

This.  (Stop posting so rationaly you!) ;)

I don't like your opinion, so I'm gonna be a baby about it.

Fixed that for you.

I could have said the same thing as him, or I could say "this", the end result is the same. And it is not for you to decide what I shall and shall not post.

Terrible. I hate it. It's bad enough that games are released with day 1 dlc, but at least it's never essential, only extra.

I want to go back to the days when you buy a game, you own it and can do what ever you want with it including selling it. I don't want DLC, Online Pass, or Micro Transactions. I just want the game, in full, on disc, ready to be played.

This. In capital letters.

Yeah, I saw that last night.  I just figured I'd take the high road and not even reply.  But since the thread survived the night I'll just throw in a couple of thoughts.

Like I said, I wouldn't even buy a $1 game from the Android/iPhone marketplace if it wasn't complete.  I've downloaded demos but that's just to see if I want to buy the real game.  I don't feel like I should get everything for an unreasonable price.  I also would never pay for a broken experience.  A $5 "starter kit" is just something I would never buy into.  So, no.  I wouldn't buy the game at all, under any circumstance unless it had a beginning, middle, and an end (unless it were something like Tetris where the objective is the high score).  In short, I think the idea sucks.  Sucks worse than my idea about the douche for men ( http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=24600&page=1 ).

That's all I have on the matter.

The model which you suggested I find most unsatisfactory. Now what I would like is what Sony did with Killzone 3. Sell the game's multiplayer modes separate from the actual game for a lower price than the full game.

That's really not much different, as you're still paying for a part of the game, though, only the half you want.
