Forums - Website Topics - Abuse of title editing (news threads)

If it's important enough to edit the title for, that's when it should be edited into the OP or second post. Not for every piece of news in the thread.

I have used the 2nd and 3rd posts of the thread for different reasons so far but have a different idea to try and execute in the coming weeks using it. It's a discussion thread mainly and I'm more than happy to try accommodate those who actually use it and contribute to it and have some good ideas I wanna try out

can't wait to see what you come up with.

again, i think we all have great ideas to improve accessibility, so working together in the future on ideas in this matter would be more productive. if you've been in the official bioshock thread, you'll notice the best vid's that have been featured or are most important to the game are represented in the op or 3rd post.

like MUGEN said, it's not important to change the title for all news. just the most important news. news that you know will garner attention. and like Ryan said. try doing it when 1-2k of info comes in every minute.(really ryan!!! exaggerate much.) it can't and shouldn't be done. simple waste of time. do it when it's needed.

I agree, these threads are kind of spammy and annoying to follow. Maybe we can make a sub-forum for this sort of stuff? That way, these threads can continue for the people who like them, but the rest of us who don't won't have to deal with them.

ACtually what is spammy is what was going on two months ago. I had 100 plus threads in a month, Nsanity had a 100 plus, Pezus had a 100 plus, and Man bear had 150 plus threads.

People can either wait a week for someone to make a thread on it or they can take 10 seconds to look through mine or MUGENs or anyone elses thread to find the news.

Not spammy at all. I keep it updated pretty much everyday. It actually takes some work. You are all welcome. Mods do not like 500 threads a day.

True, bad wording on my part. I guess what gets me with those threads is more the organization, I'd rather have 100 topics in 100 threads instead of 100 topics in one thread that is constantly present at the tops of the forums.

meh, you can always ask for a repost if you really want to know about something and don't want to flip through the pages.
