The most epic thing about those sales is that they don't contain the bundles. How many bundles no one knows, but at least 20k, imo.
I won't maintain first place next week, but if has legs, we'll be looking at a half-million game there!

240K, kickass! Can't wait for the inevitable NA localization announcement!
Food for thought: Shove an apple in your brain
240k was completely out of the blue! Looks like we were all way-out
Now I really, really, really want this game to come to America. I Haven't beat a single game in the series other than Path of Radiance, and I want to fix that.

The best way of remeding that is by playing Radiant Dawn. It should be cheap now, and it's arguably the best game in the series.

I might get it when I have money this summer.

It's very, very cheap now you know (£8), and is well worth the money if you liked SS, or anything else!
But since you played the prequel, the sequel naturally follows.
This game looks really good, so I'm not surprised it did double the DS FE's first week. The DS FE wasn't that good.

The main reason for that, though, is that the DS ones are remakes. This is a brand new game, so it was always going to sell much, MUCH more. I just didn't expect it would outsell it by quite as much as it did...

Yeah, there's that too. The DS being packed with RPGs when the two Fire Emblem DS games launched probably didn't help either. This is the first truly great 3DS RPG (the greatest competition being Tales of Abyss), while the DS in 2008 had already had Pokemon, Final Fantasy (remakes and a spinoff), Mario RPGs, Advance Wars, Kingdom Hearts, Dragon Quest and a bunch of other RPGs release on the system.
I'm still shocked at how it sold more in one day than Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn did in their lifetime, though. I'm not sure how to feel about it. On the one hand, it greatly increases the chances of Fire Emblem continuing as a series, but on the other, it makes it less likely we'll see more console ones, and I find the console ones to be a lot better than the handheld ones.
