Is that how Americans say Nokia?
We say Nokia so that the first part rhymes with 'knock'

This is the phone that Nokia is basically resting its successful future or long slow decline on? Good luck Nokia, you'll need it.

The heck! We say it like the American says it too and I think that's kind of how the guys in Finland say it too, so hah! |
Odd, you'd think it would be advertised with the correct pronounciation.

Is it not? |
Well no, why do you think we pronounce it differently in the first place?... I'll admit the British can be odd but we wouldn't deliberately mispronounce something unless that's how we think we should say it.

bloody hell... how did FFXIII-2 work for you darth? |
Your still here!
It didn't really work well for me unfortunately. (first the game broke my launch PS3...well more SONY's fault I guess, then the game itself)

Right...I'll just assume you're being sarcastic! |
I'm not... the Nokia adverts here in the UK pronounce it like I said (i'm not sure how to say it phonetically, but the 'o' is pronounced the same as in the word 'not' or 'knock' instead of in the word 'no' or 'note' which is apprently the correct way)

I bought one on the launch event here in Brazil... but to resell it and make some quick buck.
But the phone is amazing... to bad I'm still in love with my HTC Titan giant screen.
I wish verizon would stock some windows phone. If there was better tv service around me i would switch from verizon so i can get a windows phone, but there isn't.

he is wrong. nokia with the 'o' as in not is correct. so as in no or note is not correct. http://blogs.computerworld.com/17804/how_should_we_pronounce_nokia_anyway |
The Finn speaking English vid could be taken either way... but overall it sounds like us Brits say it correctly, and this Nikky Minaj person is saying it weirdly.
