Share your opinions, is there hope left for Kinect outside some dance games? |
No, it was bashed incessantly for being a poorly designed on-rails mess. We've known that it would be a bad game for quite a while now.
That doesn't mean that nobody will ever be able to make a good hardcore Kinect game (although it does reveal some of the platform's limitations).
The only reason anyone was ever hyped for this game was when it was slated for a Holiday release last Christmas. It was supposed to be a big hardware pusher for the holidays with the bundle. Then when it got delayed past christmas it couldn't be used in the holiday tracking thread for the 360 catching PS3 gap.
After that, no one cared for it besides someone who wants to spend 450 bucks on a console 7 years into it's life.
But what's a "good" metascore for Kinect games?
Kinect milion sellers and their meta-scores (incl Adventures because even if it wasn't packed in it woulda sold >1 million):
Adventures - 61
Sports - 73
Dance Central - 82
Sports Season 2 - 66
Just Dance 3 - 70
Dance Central 2 - 86
Kinectimals - 77
Joyride - 52
So you can see there's a substantial range of Meta scores that achieve >1 million in sales, including a game with a lower meta than Star Wars.
Along with the Star Wars brand I figure this game is good for at least 1.5 million. So it will be a successful Kinect game, if not a critically acclaimed one.

No surprise here.

bet with Mordred11 that Rage will look better on Xbox 360.
My Mom said it looked really fun when she saw the commercial, she also doesn't like video gaming. I think we know where Microsoft was trying to get with this game...........................
(Those dots were necessary.)

I don't recall watching any such commercial nor do I think that I would say something this stupid. |
Maybe because it was an American commercial? The bolded also goes for your statement; you know that each region gets different advertisement.

"My Mom said it looked really fun when she saw the commercial, she also doesn't like video gaming"
my mom said the same for various wii commercials and she also doesn't like video gaming
do you think your second sentence still applies?............................................

Oh don't even get me started.
I was so stoked of becoming a Jedi, wielding my own invisible lightsaber! Damn shame...
I still remember the audience shouting and giving a standing ovation when they showed this game at E3. "Hype" couldnt even begin to describe my anticipation for it. I'm crying as I am typing this.
