The 3DS 3D sucks.
At least compared to other 3D screens. I'm a huge 3D fan so the fact it has any ghosting whatsoever means it can't score above a 4. Add in the super small sweet spot and the resolution being halved and we're at a 2. The final nail in the coffin is max 3D is lame. I should have a slider for a reason; don't use it as an one and off switch. I'd prefer to play on my 65' 3D display not because of it's size, but because the 3D effect is just so much better.

So tell me, how good is the 3D on your 65' TV when you take the glasses off?

How good is the 3d on 3DS when you dont have it in the "proper" position??

I don't think that's what he meant, basicly the 3D without glasses is still pretty much new, and was even newer when the 3DS launched. And also i have a 50" Samsung 3Dtv from 2011 and i still think the 3D on the 3DS is great. its only normal a $1200 TV that has a much bigger screen is going to be better, but that still doesn't take away points from the 3DS like he is trying to do. And i think judging from the systems he owns, its clear why he made such a statement in the first place.

Or maybe you are too paranoid and in love with Ninty?? Just because someone doesnt like the 3d in 3DS doesnt mean they have some agenda, lets be mature here.  Every point he made beside the slider is true, do you not have to have it in a certain position to get the full effect?? Does it not kill the resolution in some games??

I think you need to mature here, and i think the voters agree with me on this as you can see from the results. Im not in love with Nintendo, i love gaming not the companys that make the consoles but the games, If i didnt i wouldn't own pretty much every console this gen and the one before it and the one before that etc. And its very clear he has an agenda as the 3D on the 3DS is great, and no not every point he made is true. Sure you have to be in front of the 3DS to see the effect, but when is a handheld not in front of you??. And no it doesn't kill the resolution in any game i have played, after all we are playing on a handheld so comparing it to a 50"+ 3d Tv is not the same, and thats clearly what he was trying to do. If you ask me he is just butt hurt cos the Handheld he spend so much money on is getting destoryed by the 3DS and he is worried it might not get many games...

The 3D on 3ds is ok, no where near great. The fact that you cant move the system at all without losing the effect, brings the experience down. When is the system not in front of you?? What kind of response was that, you know damn well that the 3DS has to be in a specific position or else the 3d effect becomes wonky.  I will agree that comparing it to a full size TV might not have been the way to go about it. And I have noticed the resolution take a hit in SSF and PilotWIngs to name but two, not huge but its there

Yes it is great imo and in many others. I mean is when is the system not in front of you? just like any other handheld you hold it in front of your 2 eyes, and the only specific position i know of when you lose the 3D effect is when you're holding it side ways or to an angle, who does that with a handheld??.

And i have not played them 2 games yet, but in much more advanced games such as Resident Evil etc the is no lose of resolution. I will have SSF4 tomorrow so i will be able to give a better reply on that game then.

so I guess, when you use your 3ds you NEVER move your head or the actual system?? Or better yet you always use it in a place where you can remain perfectly still, like say a car, bus, train, plane, etc.?? Yeah right

No, i have moved my head to look at someone or something. But then when i look back at the screen guess what??, the 3D image is still there -_- .

And yes i have used it in a car etc and i still dont see the problem, i ask you have you used one in a car? do you even own one to use in a car?.

yes i do own one, and I use it on the train or bus, and when their is some movement, the effect gets all messed up, of course I adjust back to get it looking proper again, but the fact that I have to do that at all, makes the 3d lose points. If you dont mind having to do that, good for you.

@zero so because the 3ds is the only other device of its kind makes it good?? No, sir. I dont abide by that train of thought. The fact that it cost so little tells me that they could have added more to it, to make it even cooler, but they didnt. Reminds me of the wiimote when it first came out? You wouldnt have said it was perfect because it was the only device around at the time? But then again you probably would

No what makes the 3DS so good is the fact how well it works for it's price, and it works really well. but i think the numbers of the voters in this thread speak for themselfs, i had enough of going back over this. you'r complaints are miner things, and no way should bring the score down to a 1-10.

I never gave it a score of 1. I gave it a 5, which would be mediocore which is exactly how I feel. i dont care if everyone else loves it, good for them, im not some sheep. As for the minor problems, they are minor, thats why I bought the 3ds in the first place becasue the good far outweighs the bad.
