Forums - Nintendo - 3rd Party Franchises on WiiU

You never know, but I tend to agree with Rol here.I seriously doubt we´ll be seeing an Elder Scrolls and/or Fallout, Witcher 3, etc. for the Wii U

I want to see Bioware, Bethesda and CD Project on the Wii U wagon.

Then you better abandon all hope. PC game developers aren't going to develop for Nintendo. It isn't a matter of specs, it's just that Nintendo is the natural enemy of PC gaming.

Yet the controller would perfectly work for what we traditionally consider pc games and their interfases.

The Final Fantasy series might be rejuvenated by a Nintendo reunion appearance.

The hype around the reunion alone could boost sales. Won't work twice though.......

Leatherhat on July 6th, 2012 3pm. Vita sales:"3 mil for COD 2 mil for AC. Maybe more. "  thehusbo on July 6th, 2012 5pm. Vita sales:"5 mil for COD 2.2 mil for AC."

Would be cool to see another Okami game on the Wii U.

Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward = best game ever made.

Here is a list of 3rd party franchises i'd like to see on Wii u.
Splinter cell, Dragon quest, Mgs, Silent hill, Tales, Final Fantasy, Resi, Timesplitters, Burnout, Fallout, DMC, Okami, Dead rising, Portal, Half life, Monster hunter, Onimusha, Prince of persia, Sonic, Soulcalibre, Virtua fighter and Super monkey ball. Almost all would be multiplatform but i think they are all realistically possible apart from Onimusha and Okami which seem to be history.

Absolutely.  And considering that Microsoft XBox 360 had no trouble running FFXIII, I don't see why that should be an issue for WiiU.

I'd also like to see Metal Gear Solid HD Collection on the WiiU, but... who knows.

No, it doesn't. Don't tell me you are one of those people who seriously considers a touchscreen equal to a mouse.

Hahahaha...

Got me!

Its not that there will be a problem for it, its more like why would SE release a FFXIII game 2 years after it came out on the PS3/xbox360.

Well, from what I heard, there were rumors about FFXV supposedly coming to WiiU.  I can't necessarily take that as solid evidence that we're going to actually GET it, but considering all that Nintendo's doing with their newest system and the fact that Square and Nintendo are not on bad terms anymore, I have some reason to believe we'll see it on WiiU, if not as an exclusive.

But of course, this is all before E3.  We'll see what happens.

A Final Fantasy that's better than mediocre would actually rejuvenate the series.

Assuming all rumors of WiiU being weaker then 360 are false and the system is better then PS3 by a slight margin. Then I can see every single major third party multiplat IP being plausible. All of the IP listed in the OP are more then possible. Monster Hunter is a given read recent interviews the Monster Hunter team is not exactly wanting a huge graphical powerhouse.

I think CoD, BF, WoW, The Old Republic (Full StarWars franchise support also) , GTA, Red Dead, Saints Row the Fourth, Sonic....etc...etc... All those franchises have as much value ln Nintendo's hardware as the Japanese ones. Throw in DLC sales and Nintendo will be able to bring in a fortune off the third party games.

But all this hinders on WiiU being able to handle every new game coming to consoles and portable from PC till winter 2013. WiiU will need to be able to out perform PS3 and will need to be capable of providing the PC quality experience. Meaning for most PC owners 1080p at 60fps with all the shades and such that BF3 uses. It needs to be able to run Frostbite 2 and CryEngine 3 at their current specs giving the best possible performance on a standard HDTV meaning the best experience currently possible on a 1080p TV!

Any less will be very risky any weaker then PS3 will be border line suicide regardless of this tech!
