Oh, I will finish it, don't worry. And about the work thing, yeah, I've been in the "adult world" for 4 years now, but this is the worst its been, my project wraps up in a month, after that, its a week of nothing but me, the TV, and the Heropon, I'm far too white to go outside for more that 15 minutes at a time anyway.

That's what I like to hear! Give the Heropon the love!

I'm still playing through it again, currently in the Mechonis Field. At the top.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

Now, am i supposed to be seeing something between Reyn and Sharla? I'm puzzled, because the game seems to also be signaling that Gadolt will live with the vision involving Otharon...

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

Yeah, they're supposed to be falling for each other because of Reyn's similarity to Gadolt.

It'll get more in-depth later, so I wouldn't worry too much about it just yet! Just go with it ;)

You're correct. Most bosses in the game use an aura "Last Stand", where they cast Haste, Strength Up and increase their level by 3 when their health is below 15%.

And Shulk is the best character to control IMO. Sharla heals well, and Reyn will topple when you break. Only difference is, you can use Back Slash/Slit Edge/ Monado Arts when you choose, and when it's most effective.

A lot of people around the net seem to like using Melia.  She's a great character, but Shulk is way more fun to play with in my opinion.  So much fun hovering around the back and sides of enemies on going to town with Backslash, Slit Edge, and Air Slash and actively intervening with Monado Arts after seeing the future.  So much fun!

Melia is the best character. Elementals for massive damage and buffs, Spear Break+Starlight Kick for insta-Topple, Aura and Arts seal attacks, slight healing, ability to chain to almost anything...she's so cool. You've gotta love her!

In addition, the ending cutscenes are cool, and very out-of-nowhere. But if the plot twist about Shulk being dead from the start, Dickson and the diciples didn't please you, I don't know what will! The only thing which surprised you was the most obvious thing in the game IMO!

I don't think it was that obvious.  You're only saying that cause hindsight is 20/20!

To each his own regarding the story though.  I agree with Rol, it just fell apart after awhile.

It does, but it also reforms come the core...

Meh. You still like it, no?

Absolutely.  I play games for the gameplay, a nice story is a bonus.  And Xenoblade's is definitely good for the most part, I just didn't like the turn it took late in the game.  But it's an awesome, awesome, awesome game.  Hell, I'm still playing it!  116 hours in just finishing up sidequests and rebuilding Colony 6 before I go on and end it.  I clearly don't want it to end because it's so good and I don't have anything else to play... :(

Guess I have The Last Story to look foward too.

Whosoever was the waste of human life and precious resources that designed the first fight against Xord should have their organs ripped out slowly, making sure that he/she stays alive as long as possible while their body is being eviscerated, then when their pathetic life finally gives out, have their head smashed into a bloody pulp with a sledgehammer and every trace of their miserable existence wiped from the planet forever.

That's a bit...extreme...

All you have to do is get a chain attack, break then topple and attack once. Simples.

I agree it's not the nicest fight...but, hey, at least you don't have to do one like it again!

Have you finished any of the Monado quests so far, or got any of the 5th skill trees? They're quite good!
