I've just battled Xord and entered the other side of Colony 6, which means I now can chose to have Dunban on my team. The little I've seen here indicates that Reyn isn't any good from this point onwards. Should I change and play as Dunban? And how should I customize each character? Sharla obviously should be some form of healer, but how do I optimize them all? I'm not used to play JRPG's so I don't know anything at all about these kind of things.

I'd ditch Reyn for Dunban, yes. Give Dunban some Agility gems and he should rarely get hit.

As for customizing each character, you actually have quite a bit of leeway, so don't worry too much about getting anything "wrong."

haha, two responses two completely different answers!! So, basically, I can use either one of 'em?

And thanks guys!!

I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.

My strategy was to do as many of the side quests as possible.  This allowed me to be strong enough to use any combination of characters I wanted when I moved on to do more story segments.

I'm doing the same thing really. I couldn't beat Xord so I leveled up to 29 and got him then. And, doing the side quests gives you a nice opertunity to see the landscape and all the other cool stuff!

Pretty much. The game's extremely flexible in how you can approach it, although there are some groups and strategies that are worse than others, of course.

Oh, found the thread.

When I put Xenoblade dvd in, it says that I need an update. It also shows a warning that if my system is modified or something, it will break. Or something. Is that normal?

Try to update it. I just remebered I had to do the same thing when I bought it. I guess that´s because the you haven´t used the Wii for quite some time, and it needs to be updated.

Ahh, that sounds very likely. I thought it detected some mod on my system which I was not aware of.

Quoting myself. It works!

Game itself seems very nice, it somehow reminds me of FF XII/DA:O. However the camera annoys me a lot. I will have to take a look if it can be changed somehow from the analog to wiimote itself. Or maybe I should just get the wii gamepad. :)

But now it is time to find the military district.

Yeah the camera is a lousy piece of shit with the remote. Apparently it is no issue with the "Gamepad", but the game is very enjoyable despite that. It starts slow but picks up after the first area especially if you like that kind of RPG. Well Dragon Age was the first game I thought off when I was playing it, it reminded me a bit of Drago Quest but its really unique.
