Where did you get this crazy idea that the Chinese J20 is superior to the F-35? That's ridiculous. All Chinese weapon development is still almost a whole generation (15-20 years) behind the West.
^That's nice question. Where did you get this, Joel? :D I did wonder that myself, but "oh well, he's some kind of journalist or wanabee..." methought, so it's expected.
I did notice a certain strengthening trend in mass media for last few years to present China as what it's not. Be it China's political ambitions, economy or for that matter military strength or technology. Surprisingly enough the trend didn't affect Chinese media in no way, the hysteria is created by western media and aimed for wester public mostly. So this's where he got the idea I beleive. God knows, what might come out of it :D
Though you should give Chinese a credit. If compared to someone actually comparable, like India, they've made a tremendous success in a lot of fields, have stable marketshare and improving.
