Why aren't you comparing the biggest selling PS3 exclusive to the biggest selling 360 exclusive? i.e. GT5 v Halo3

I'm thinking he's comparing Reach to GT5 because released at nearly the same time.

The recent shipments for GT5 show that it is crunching gears at the moment and in danger of stalling... unless it gets huge bundling its not getting to the dizzy heights of halo.

Anyway... Reach is way above 10m already... this site just doesn't want to count that... a bundled game is a bundled game.

That is because the site doesn't track digital sales.  We do'nt have XBLA sales numbers/ We don't have Vita digital software sales so why making a big deal about Halo reach numbers?

i see....

which is barmy.

Barmy? That's UK slang, right?

OP: GT5 doesn't stand a chance, it is now at a little over half of what the series did at peak sales while the Halo franchise is still apparently growing. I also stand by my original statement regarding the crossing of 10 million sales lifetime for GT5; it won't happen.

It'll get there by 2016. Wanna bet?

I think GT5 won't pass 9 million

We can track bundles. I'm not saying track digital sales, I am saying track bundles.  Ignoring data we actually know seems a little odd.

We count bundled hard copies but not soft copies... dont see why...  two wrongs dont make a right.

It's not comprehensive to track digital sales of only some games and not all games. Shouldn't make special cases for certain games. Better to just track hard copies for all.

Maybe at some point if we don't see GT6 in 3 years. But still, Haloe Reach has bundles - over 2 m of them so it's hard to see GT5 outselling it.

why?

that makes absolutely no sense.

..... so we know game x has had 1m bundles but we dont count them because we dont know how many digital sales game y had?

anyway, pointless debating it, we dont count them so thats that.

Pretty much. Shouldn't track a feature if you can only do so for a few games imo.

It's funny to see it's always the same members who fall for that kind of topic, and get so personal about them.
