Choice is always good but most people should choose Netflix over this service.

Prime is a lot cheaper than Netflix and comes with others benefits though. ( like free release day dellivery for games).

Its not a lot cheaper at all. Prime is $1.40 per month cheaper than Netflix and only allows you to subscribe on a yearly basis versus month to month.  Also library is worse which is all that should matter when the price difference is $1.40 per month.

96$ vs 70$.

Netflix is 37% more expensive than Prime...

And like I already said Netflix does not come with side benefits.

For someone that orders often from Amazon like I do Prime basically pays itself just on  the free shipping...

PS3-Xbox360 gap : 1.5 millions and going up in PS3 favor !

PS3-Wii gap : 20 millions and going down !

most amazon customers would undoubtedly attach some value to the free 2-day shipping and the kindle owners lending library.  I know I would.  Hell, a lot of people started prime when 2-day delivery was the only service provided.

but anywho, quickly came back here cause i just went to amazon and saw this.  how the fuck did this fly completely under the radar?!?

Hmm now i'm tempted to have a closer look at Prime

$96 vs $79 :)

But yes if free 2day shipping is included then it is better value. I honestly don't think either Netflix or Amazon video service is that great...but ever since Megauplaod went down, this is all I have to work with. :)

My bad I was conviced I paid 70$, you are correct.

The best part of the shipping stuff isn't the free 2 days in my view, it's free release day delivery for games..

Amazon Prime does pay it's self, I was paying that way before they added free instant video last year. Amazon is just a much better (and almost always) cheaper place to buy certain things, like electronics, books, and specifics things you need and can never find at retailers. There is a reason what happen to CircuitCity happened, and Best Buy / Sears closing stores, and its not just Walmart.

The selection in Amazon Prime to watch is horrible. And the 2-day free shipping only applies to Amazon and their "stores" which means you will be buying an item at a higher rate than other users hence defeating the amazing 2-day shipping deal. I'm ok waiting longer for an item to arrive if I am paying less.

All these are for US and some are for UK , and the rest of the world are thrown to oblivion =[

What is this 'rest of the world' you speak of? There is more outside of US?! Surely that is only wild land and animals.
