the lack of hype for this game is disgusting

Well first of all the first game was announced as a PC exclusive and then became almost quietly an XBLA title.
Secondly the studio is in very close contact with Microsoft, so that would be the reason why it never saw a PSN release. The same is obviously true for the sequel.

Sales of the first game on XBLA were at least 50k in 2012.
Now probably ~65k.

wow 50k no wonder they are not bothering with XBLA for 2, that is a week of sales for tiny art games on Steam.
ANd the first game was published by MS and was released on XBLA first, and it was announced as a PC/Console title from the beginning.

oh okay I only remember reading that it was a PC exclusive until they showed XBLA footage @ E3 or another convention.
Game was okay-ish to good (mostly due to the lack of ANY kind of multiplayer). Not my favourite tower defense game on XBLA. Defense Grid is IMO miles better. Wouldn't recommend it either for 15€. Gets boring fast, so I fully understand the low sales.
The sequel would do much better on XBLA, I'm sure (and obvious).
First one was great but it got a little repetitive towards the end for my taste.

Any kind of multiplayer would have been good for starters.
I was already bored after the 3rd level but still played it for a bit longer. (~ Level 10 or so)
