I like the OP summary, thanks for that. That Wii U announcement seems kind of cruel, though ..

BioShock Infinite Could Have Been Set In The Renaissance

BioShock Infinite takes place in the early 1900s, but during the early concept stage, Irrational Games talked about setting the game in the Renaissance period.

In a recent interview with Polygon user experience specialist Bill Gardner said, "I will say that I was actually pushing for something more Renaissance, but within six month Assassin's Creed 2 was announced and I was like 'OK, well they beat us to the punch.'"

Gardner went on to mention that Irrational cut enough stuff from BioShock Infinite to make five or six full games. "I mean, it pains you when you are talking about about cutting one of your babies but ultimately you got to to look at the final piece," Gardner said.

Hold on to those ideas Irrational, we'll happily take another BioShock when this one is done. Find out what ideas made the final product when BioShock Infinite releases on March 26.

is anyone interested?

I am and have been watching some of the trailers lately. The modern day icarus ones are pretty creepy haha.

Bioshock Infinite

The Lamb Of Columbia

Elizabeth is one of the many mysteries surrounding Columbia, and this new trailer for BioShock Infinite revolves around her and some of her strange powers.

The captivating new trailer below not only showcases Elizabeth, but also raises questions about some of the game's enemies, Comstock, and Booker's mission to help Elizabeth.

For another intriguing look at the game, I highly suggest the Truth From Legend trailer series.

BioShock Infinite hits PC, Xbox 360, and PS3 on March 26.

I'd hadn't seen that about Infinite almost being Renaissance. I think that would have been extremely interesting in a Steampunk kind of way. I know they said it had to do with Assassin's Creed being Renaissance but I doubt it would have had the same feel at all.

Still, I'm looking forward to this version and I hope it justifies the hype. I want it to be twisty and unpredictable.

If they cut out that much content, I wonder if it's going to come back as DLC?
