THQ previously announced it was shipping Darksiders II in June. Now, that might not be the case anymore.
In a recent interview with Ripten, VP of Core Games Danny Bilson was asked about the possibility of the game being delayed past its June 26 date due to the recent restructuring and subsequent layoffs at THQ. He responded saying, "We haven’t announced anything… but the team is working really, really hard. We’re not going to ship it before it’s done."
A THQ PR representative during the interview was also unable to comment on the release date.
Game Informer followed up with the publisher and was told, "No new announcements have been made at this time."
So, there you go. Darksiders II was officially announced for June 26. But now the publisher refuses to comment on if it's still happening. We'll hopefully know more as we get closer to E3 in June.

Now that the game was delayed I have more time to finish the first title.

I was going to wait to see if the Wii U version was worth waiting anyway, so now the time between the editions just got shorter and I have to wait less to know which version to buy, it is not bad news for me at least.
I'm kinda glad they're pushing the release date so that it'll be more in line with the WiiU launch, and due to it being released later it could mean that they're really taking their time and making it awesome. But at the same time I just have to worry a bit as well... If THQ is in dire need they might consider releasing it before it properly ready...

Last week THQ announced a delay in the release of the forthcoming Darksiders II. Originally intended to launch in June, the publisher revealed that the videogame would in fact launch globally in August of this year. Today, a specific date has been pinned down.
Darksiders II is arguably one of the most highly anticipated titles of the summer, and as such THQ has plans to launch a limited edition package for all pre-orders, mirroring Namco Bandai Games’ ‘day one’ initiative used with the likes of Ace Combat: Assault Horizon and Dark Souls. The Darksiders II Limited Edition will only be available at launch, and includes 
a code that allows free access to theDarksiders II “Arguls Tomb” expansion, the first downloadable content (DLC) pack which will be available around thirty days from launch.
