What did they say about Rhythm Thief, I'm rather interested in it until the inevitable Rhythm Heaven 3DS comes out.

hm, their rating sounds very logical to me

I'm sure Ninja Gaiden is closer to 7 than 3, seems like Pandora's Tower and Kid Icarus are great games, and Mass Effect 3 AAA as expected

No, it's more like a 6-9 review scale. Although for IPs like Sonic they don't seem to have any problems to use the full scale. Well, in general it seems that cuddly games are rated on a proper scale while "mature" games have a default bonus attached to them.
