So Tecmo announced that Ninja Gaiden 3 will get free DLC in the form of 2 new weapons and multiplayer stages. There will be 4 free DLC packages in total, this being the first.

Apparently they also have plans for paid DLC, but for now this pack is free. I haven't really played the game so won't comment on its quality, but I have been hearing from others and reviewers that the game blew hard.

So what do you guys think, free dlc to add some lubrication for the fans? For those who have the game, do you care for this DLC after what the game turned out to be?

They should better make the hardest difficulty DLC for free.

They should also make the limb removal DLC for free.

They more than likely made it free simply in response to the atrocious reviews.

If they want to keep the game from completely flopping they should make all DLC free right away, and get to work on a patch that at least somewhat improves some of the issues people are having. Maybe they'll have a better product in time for the Wii U launch?

You can fix a few bad textures, balance out weapons, etc with a patch, but you can't change the entire gameplay/AI. Well I guess you could, but it takes a very long time and that is the kind of thing that is normally released as DLC or a separate revision of the game, like you see in fighting games like street fighter with its Super Street Fighter and Arcade edition revisions.

@spurgeonryan well no since this game is on consoles you cant and the only way they can make it fix it is by patches and an apologise letter to every original ninja gaiden fan.

I think they are making this DLC free because of the imense quality boost tha this DLC will provide the game with.
