Forums - Gaming - Has anyone had problems with their Rockband controllers

I bought the game 12/31 and the drums were bad out of the box. The red pad did nothing. Got an Express shipping RMA on 1/2, Then my microphone stopped working on 1/4 had to call that one in because you can't RMA microphones online I had to spend over an hour on hold to order a new one. Then I got my replacement drums Today 1/10 there bad out of the box again (only picking up half the hits to them) so I had to RMA them again today and I'm Still waiting on my microphone to be shipped EA says my parts have been shipped since yesterday but UPS just says Billing Information Received. A week and a half turnaround is not great when it is supposed to be 2 day shipping! Other than all that I love the game.

My friend who has it has had the guitar die and has had to repair and modify the drum kit. Not exactly top-quality gear with this game.

Well, now that got me thinking.

If it's wireless, how do u charge the instruments? Anybody?

Nothing wrong with my friend's PS3 version...I still hate how the guitar strummer doesn't click like Guitar Hero's though.

Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

The 360 version I played didn't have wireless instruments. Does the PS3 version have wireless?

Yeah, as wikipedia says:

Harmonix faced difficulty in making the Xbox 360 guitar wireless, as developers are charged a licensing fee to use Microsoft's wireless technology. If Harmonix chose to pay the fee, the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 bundles of Rock Band would have sold at different price points. Instead, Harmonix elected to choose a wired technology for the Xbox 360 bundle's guitar.

So, anybody know how it's charged?

Of all the stupid things to happen, my USB hub went out.

At least it's not that big of a deal. I haven't even bothered to RMA it yet.

My PS3 guitar does have trouble with downstrum. It's having trouble picking up all the strums.

My bass pedal broke, and both of my whammy bars slide down away my their normal place.

Outlaw, if you're having problems with downstrum and don't want to RMA it, here's an easy fix. I believe the RB guitar can be opened with just a screwdriver so you shouldn't void the warranty, but you'll want to confirm that.
