So have you already decided to get a new PC?

Haha weeeeell, I'm actually leaning towards it! :P As far as I understand the PC has most of the Xbox exclusives as well? And all the RPGs I wanna play... All I'm missing out on are UC and Red Dead... Right?

Yes. Rol was the first one to recommend you to upgrade your PC or buy a new one and the more I think about it the more I think this is actually the best option for you (albeit probably the most expensive one).

On an upgraded or new PC you can play Skyrim, Fable 3, Witcher 2, Batman and all other multiplatform games you're intested in, plus - more important for you as a TBS/RTS fan - Civilization 5, StarCraft 2, the newer ones of the Total War games, the newer ones of the Paradox Interactive strategy games. In case you're interested in city building/economic sims as well, there's e.g. the upcoming SimCity.

You'd be only missing out on Fable 2/360 (which you already played), Uncharted series/PS3, Read Dead Redemption/both.

I'd say: Upgrade your PC and borrow a PS3 for Uncharted and Red Dead.

Yeah, this is what I'm thinking right now... It's just that... it's so expansive :P

I hardly play games on my PC, but when I do its MMORPG games.

I like collecting trophies..

But if you play MMO's in the PC, shouldn't ME-series work just as well? Or is it better suited for console? And how come?

PS3 for your requested genres.

Though it wouldn't hurt looking into budget PC gaming builds.

But how do you budget build a PC? :P I wouldn't know where to start...

Is this all the gaming I'm gonna get untill the Wii U releases?!"

Mostly I like Action and Adventure and RPG, and to an extent Platforming.

I've played Fable 2 nearly to the end - and really enjoyed it - but I've also played Uncharted 2, if only for 30 minutes - but I thouroughly enjoyed that as well!

Wait and get a Wii U. PS3 and 360 are having their last well supported year of games, so there is no point dishing out $250/$300 on a PS3/360 now, especially when PS4 and Nextbox are probably only a year or two down the road.

If you can't wait to get a Wii U, then I would say get a PS3, unless RPG's are >> then Action Adventure to you. 360 has almost no Action Adventure exclusives, but a few more good RPG exclusives.

If you're still interested in the Wii U, and just need something to tie you down for a bit, get a 4GB 360. It's $130 on promo now, and $130 is actually cheaper then the price of two new high profile games.

A few good games to consider:

PS3
Folklore
Heavy Rain (Not Action Adventure, but damn good)
Infamous 1 & 2
Ratchet & Clank Future (or the other ones)
The Last of Us (I assume it will be good)
Uncharted 2 & 3 (Not so much 1)
Valkyria Chronicles

360
Alan Wake
Fable 3
Infinite Undiscovery
Lost Odyssey
Mass Effect 1-3 (PS3 doesn't have 1, which is crutial)
Tales of Vesperia
The Witcher 2
Too Human (Amazing despite bad scores)

Multi-Platform
Assassin's Creed 1 & 2 (No others)
Batman (Both)
Bayonetta (Better on 360)
Dragon Age: Origins ($10 for 100 hours)
Grand Theft Auto IV?
Portal 2
Star Ocean: The Last Hope
The Elder Scrolls IV and V? (A bit long, but decent)

I would also say Fallout, it's a lot more RPG then shooter, but it's still part shooter, so you might not like it.

I wanna play some mature HD games, and I won't buy the WiiU until it's been cured of its baby diseases...

All those games have metascores of 50-60%, I didn't include The Last Remnant, Magna Carta 2 and other sub-par 360 games, and I see no reason why you should.

Tales of Xillia has no confirmed release date outside of Japan, it could stay exclusive to Japan like the PS3 version of Vesperia did and Graces did for the Wii.

you do know JRPG has been getting low scores across the board right? Like I said there is more, so look them up.

look i'll list a few more just for lolz.

Atelier Rorona, Atelier Totori: The Adventurer of Arland, Ar tonelico Qoga: Knell of Ar Ciel, Trinity Universe.

Tales of Xillia trademark been found for Europe’s trademark database.

source: http://www.siliconera.com/2012/03/22/shh-dont-tell-anyone-but-we-found-a-tales-of-xillia-trademark/

There are more, but Quantity=/=Quality. There are too many great games out there to have time for games which score 5 or 6/10. You have to really like the genre, story, or franchise speficically to enjoy a 5 or 6/10 JRPG.

There are enough 8/10+ JRPG's on the 360 to satisfy, so if the OP likes JRPG's 360 is the way to go. If the few exclusives are not enough, there are many great MP JRPG's to get, and the Wii is getting 2 new ones soon (OP has a Wii).

It makes me sad when Magna Carta 2 gets considered to be sub par. Its not the best like 80-100 kind of game, but its definitely 70-79. Its actually one of the better JRPGs I have played, much better IMO than Infinite Undiscovery.

Anyway as for the OP, get 360 if you want WRPGs, especially since the Withcher 2 is coming out exclusively for the 360 and its one of the best out there currently. Plus you'll get a few other exclusives like Mass Effect, Fable and all other WRPGs out there. As for JRPGs, I still wouldn't say PS3 is the place to go since 360 does have quite a few decent JRPGs exclusive to it, but it seems PS3 is getting more now. But if its action adventure, then PS3 is definitely better with Uncharted, Infamous, Little Big Planet, etc. It doesn't seem like you are into online play, PS3 is free in that regard. Although 360 is paid, it has arguably the best online service and is the go to place for online games such as COD, Gears, Halo, Forza, etc if you ever get interested.

Magan Carta 2 was a fun game to play, but the plot wasn't really that epic, and the game pverall was far too easy. I liked the character, the giant tiger? guy who lives 600 years, and the mare. There definatly was a good amount of character development in this game. I haven't beated Infinite Undiscovery, but to me the plot seems a lot better done, and it's enjoyably difficult. If it weren't for the bugs and poor localization...

As for the rest, DanneSandin if you're still reading,UltimateUnknown is right about everything except for online play. PSN is fine, and if you're like me and want to play just a bit every now and then, PSN is a better alternative over XBL because it's affordable (XBL just makes no sense if you only play a few hours online a month because you're literally paying close to $1 an hour).

PS3 has a landslide victory in terms of Action Adventure games, but 360 has a strong victory in terms of WRPG's. JRPG's only give 360 a small edge because PS3 is getting some pretty cool JRPG exclusives still, where 360 is dead in Japan.

$130 gets you the 4GB 360. Memory is expandible by thumb drive, and with all honesty, get an 8 or 16GB thumb drive and you will be fine. 360 games, unlike PS3, do not need to be installed to play, ever, and runfast fine, and until last year when my friend upgraded to a Slim 360 and gave me his old 60GB hard drive, I was fine using the stock 20GB (14GB usable), and I download DLC often.

Wii U will launch with several M rated HS games, all likely to play better on Wii U then PS3/360. Darksiders 2, and Ninja Gaiden 3 have been confirmed for Wii U among other games, and it's likely Assassin's Creed 3, the next Call of Duty, and well basically most HD platform games will be playable on Wii U.

But yea, that still leaves all the great HD games between 2005-2012. So like I said PS3 is the better choice because of the selection of Action/Adventure games, but if you want something on a budget the 4GB 360 is the better choice. Most games are multi-platform anyway, so it's really your call.

get a 360. it has a good rpg lineup and in my opinion has the best jrpg made : lost odyssey
also remember fable heros a xbl arcade is coming out this year as well
the gears of war series is very good too
alan wake is very nice, also condemned criminal origins is another very good 360 game that did good in sales, but i think was overlooked to a extent , since it came out so early in the 360's life.
the games on demand service is very nice for some hard too find games for the 360 as well.
