So have you already decided to get a new PC?

Haha weeeeell, I'm actually leaning towards it! :P As far as I understand the PC has most of the Xbox exclusives as well? And all the RPGs I wanna play... All I'm missing out on are UC and Red Dead... Right?

Yes. Rol was the first one to recommend you to upgrade your PC or buy a new one and the more I think about it the more I think this is actually the best option for you (albeit probably the most expensive one).

On an upgraded or new PC you can play Skyrim, Fable 3, Witcher 2, Batman and all other multiplatform games you're intested in, plus - more important for you as a TBS/RTS fan - Civilization 5, StarCraft 2, the newer ones of the Total War games, the newer ones of the Paradox Interactive strategy games. In case you're interested in city building/economic sims as well, there's e.g. the upcoming SimCity.

You'd be only missing out on Fable 2/360 (which you already played), Uncharted series/PS3, Read Dead Redemption/both.

I'd say: Upgrade your PC and borrow a PS3 for Uncharted and Red Dead.

Oh! And this is my first thread here on VGC! :D So, please go easy o me ;)

You are on a bias website where the mojority of players here are Sony fans.  I'd recommend one of two things, do this pole on a different site where it won't turn out so bias or see what kind of games you like better.  XBOX has a better online service and is better for multiplayer because of this, and usually has an edge on multiplatform games as well.  PS3 has more exclusives and bluray.  If you want more singleplayer games like Uncharted, Metal Gear Solid 4, and God of War go with PS3.  If you want better multiplayer games like Gears of War and Halo go XBOX.  Like I said there is more features and XBLA is better, but PS3 has more exclusives.  I'd recommend both, but whatever you do don't listen to this pole unless your sure because the users on this site is bias.  Just look at the games that interest you the most

PC gaming is good as well.  Multiplayer isnt as good because of Hackers, but story line is great.  Also take into consideration on multiplayer do you like Mouse And Keyboard

there is significantly more nintenfanboys and ps3 fan boys on this website then people who play xbox, so i recommend going somewhere else.

that said, 360, i have all 3 consoles this gen and wii and ps3 combined doesn't compare to the fun i have on 360.

Is this all the gaming I'm gonna get untill the Wii U releases?!"

Mostly I like Action and Adventure and RPG, and to an extent Platforming.

I've played Fable 2 nearly to the end - and really enjoyed it - but I've also played Uncharted 2, if only for 30 minutes - but I thouroughly enjoyed that as well!

Wait and get a Wii U. PS3 and 360 are having their last well supported year of games, so there is no point dishing out $250/$300 on a PS3/360 now, especially when PS4 and Nextbox are probably only a year or two down the road.

If you can't wait to get a Wii U, then I would say get a PS3, unless RPG's are >> then Action Adventure to you. 360 has almost no Action Adventure exclusives, but a few more good RPG exclusives.

If you're still interested in the Wii U, and just need something to tie you down for a bit, get a 4GB 360. It's $130 on promo now, and $130 is actually cheaper then the price of two new high profile games.

A few good games to consider:

PS3
Folklore
Heavy Rain (Not Action Adventure, but damn good)
Infamous 1 & 2
Ratchet & Clank Future (or the other ones)
The Last of Us (I assume it will be good)
Uncharted 2 & 3 (Not so much 1)
Valkyria Chronicles

360
Alan Wake
Fable 3
Infinite Undiscovery
Lost Odyssey
Mass Effect 1-3 (PS3 doesn't have 1, which is crutial)
Tales of Vesperia
The Witcher 2
Too Human (Amazing despite bad scores)

Multi-Platform
Assassin's Creed 1 & 2 (No others)
Batman (Both)
Bayonetta (Better on 360)
Dragon Age: Origins ($10 for 100 hours)
Grand Theft Auto IV?
Portal 2
Star Ocean: The Last Hope
The Elder Scrolls IV and V? (A bit long, but decent)

I would also say Fallout, it's a lot more RPG then shooter, but it's still part shooter, so you might not like it.

On 360, all the WRPGs and some exclusive JRPGs run and loads a lot better.
PS3 load times are fucking annoying really.

This is so true. MGS4 has literally a 5 minute load time between the 5 acts. You can go take a dump and make tea and a sandwich before it's done loading (trust me, I tried, and I had time leftover).

Also yea, the good JRPG exclusives are 360, and every WRPG worth playing is exclusive to or better on 360. Remember the glitchfest in Skyrim and Oblivion on PS3?

The PS3.

It's an even clearer victory, if you haven't paid much attention to PlayStation before, because there's quite some PS1 classics on PSN that are worth looking into. Graphics and load times might be hard to bear at times though.

If you count that....don't get a Wii U, PS3/Wii >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>everything for JRPGs.

Honestly PS1 had the best RPG's after SNES, but many of the great ones are available on PSN, and if not, you can always play PS1 game disks straight.

If you like action /adventure games in the style of God of War or Devil May Cry, and prefer JRPGs, get a PS3.

If you like WRPGs and competitive multiplayer, get a 360, though 360 is best for its library of shooters which you're not really into.

Platformers... well you already got that covered with your Wii lol, but if you want more action style platformers, than PS3 is the way to go for games like Ratchet and Clank, LBP, and of course the HD collections like Jak & Dakster and Sly Cooper.

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.

How exactly does PS3 have more JRPGs? FFXIII/FFXIII-2 are MP, and so is The Last Story. Demon's Souls is a PS3 exclusive, but the sequel Dark Souls is not. Meaning the only well reviewed JRPG exclusives on PS3 are Disgaea and Valkyrie Chronicles, both are hybrid JRPG/Strategy games.

360 has Lost Odyssey, one of the few traditional JRPG's on consoles, it has Tales of Vesperia, Infinite Undiscovery, and Blue Dragon. Not much, but definatly more traditionally Japansese then PS3's offerings and more games.

Between the two it all comes to the Sony exclusives because that's the only place imo the Playstation shines. Look closely because if you don't like shooters a lot of PS3 exclusives franchises are fps (but 360 is said to be plagued by that... nevermind). Look at the exclusives that interrest you on the PS3 and it not enough of them spark your interrest then get a 360.

Almost every multi games run better on 360 and it's the console that has more PC/360 exclusives and they're good. You might like multi games more than the exclusives also games like Assassin's Creed and Red Dead Redemption are a must. And even if you don't pay for Xbox Live or PSN both offer unique and amazing games via the arcade games (again don't listen to some here these are real complete games and a lot of them are amazing).

Car games are equal on both (I don't know the Motorstorm series but heard it''s good)
Fighting games get the edge on PS3 for extra characters on Mortal Kombat and SF vs Tekken
PC ports are a no brainer... they're better on 360
RPG's a no brainer as well as 360 gets more of greater quality as long as you don't consider Final Fantasy to be the only good rpg out there.
Adventure I would give it to Playstation

There's also the motion games. Coming from the Wii you will feel at home with the PS Move as it's virtually the same but in HD.

Kinect is what it is right now... still in child mode. Some games are interresting though but I wouldn't invest in one if I were you as you might have more fun with Wii games.

You could save up to 100$ by going with 360 on the console alone. PSN is free and you can't complain when it's free. XBL is amputed when you don't have a gold account.

How do you save $100 going with the 360? I saved more money with the PS3. Plus the PS3 is $50 cheaper.

Is the PS3 150$ now? Because if I go to any retailer a 360 will be 199.99$. Now you'll tell me that with wifi and online blablabla... Wifi comes bundled and you don't have to have a gold account. You also don't have to pay for the Kinect or a Hard drive, sure it's better if you have one though but the guy comes from the Wii which doesn't have one, a USB key will be good enough.
