The live version of a song called "Whiring" not sure who artist is
And a couple from my current fav living guitarist Joe Bonamassa
"Pain and Sorrow" and (sacrilege) A hendrix cover of "Are you experienced" and zep cover of "tea for one"
And a Black Country Communions "Battle for Hadrians Wall" and "Ordinary Son",and "Faithless"

Muse - Knights of Cydonia

Epic song all the way through, especially live. Love the solo after the "No one's gonna take my alive" section.

@mhsillen: If you're talking about the same song I'm thinking about "Whirring" is from the band "The Joy Formidable"

thats it, I love yhe  noisy intense guitar playing

Anything by Springsteen, such as Born To Run, Glory Days, No Surrender and Badlands.

Just saw him live in concert a year or two ago and he still fucking rocks!!

I was listening to Elton John’s Funeral for a FriendLove lies bleeding and was thinking about my favorite epic some might say indulgent songs. Late 60’s and the 70’s were full of them

So I would love to see others favorite epic songs here are some of my favorites:

The before  mentioned Elton John song starts out kind of arty in the vein of early Genesis then has an awesome change of pace into a rocker. Great song

Of course some zeppelin- When the levee Breaks and Kashmir

Green grass and high tides by The Outlaws (A bit indulgent)

And a great 60’s tune “Time has come today” By the Chambers Bros

There are more but those come to mind

That and achilles last stand! ooooh the epicness!

I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.

If I had to pick an "epic" favorite song, it would have to be:

Phil Collins - In The Air Tonight

It might not be exactly what I constantly listen to now that I'm 21, but I've loved that song since it came out, I still love it, and I would probably pick it as the song to play at my funeral when it's my time to go.

I can't imagine anyone in the world who doesn't like this song.

Revolution 9

Helter Skelter

All along the Watchtower

It's not epic but my favorite song is Yayaya by T-ARA (according to iTunes.) I've listened to it 575 times.

I hate picking favourites. Perhaps Rush's Xanadu:

Other suggestions include:

Genesis - Supper's Ready
Yes - Sound Chaser
Jethro Tull - A Passion Play
Pink Floyd - Pigs
