It does definitely sound like something he would say. The message of Bain Capital is more what gives it away as a fake, because the conduct of Bain Capital could be argued as everything that's wrong with the American financial sector (merciless gutting of American businesses and tax-dodging), and thus should be something that Mitt seeks to downplay as things move on.

That tone had popped up repeatedly in replies to blogs and articles on the web.  There are more on there.  It is another make BS news site.  It is like, The Onion, without actually seeming to claim to be funny.  Ends up like Dennis Miller on the Half Hour News Hour actually.
