There was a time when John Lucas was thought of to be dead on in his predictions. Many of the things that he said would happen with the Wii did in it's first couple of years.

It became clear that he was crazy / stretching when he said that Sony would soon be out of the gaming business. I forgot exactly what he said, but it was something along these lines.

the only thing i predicted that i got right was that Kinect would be a huge sucess... lol

Then there's this other gem:

"Why would I make any more, when everybody yells at you all the time and says what a terrible person you are?" he commented.

John Lucas, leoj, and crazzyman all made some amazing predictions. Would love if someone had the time to put all their predictions in one thread. All that optimism and wishful thinking would probably break the thread, but it would be a riot.

JohnLucas predicted total hardware sales for the end of 2007 (or 2008 not sure) that greatly exceeded the amount Nintendo could possibly manifacture within that year (something like 90m).

leoj predicted that GTAIV would "kill" the Wii. It was supposed to completely stop the Wii's momentum, of course that wasn't the case at all since Nintendo released Mario Kart Wii at the same time.

crazzyman made his incredible thread about how the Wii would stop selling soon (in 2007) because all the Marioboys had already bought it.
