Bad. Horrendous. I will not support any company that puts out day 1 DLC/cuts content from the game. Plain and simple.

What is the point of selling incomplete games? DLC is a cash grab from greedy game developers. DLC is rarely worth the asking price. It is because of DLC, I support used game sales market.
DLC is, depending on the game, one of several things:
-a quick cash grab. (day 1 DLC, like L.A. Noire)
-publishers feeling entitled to charge extra for basic content. (on-disc DLC, "buy" multiplayer etc.)
-the replacement of the traditional expansion.
-publishers hopping on the micro-transaction bandwagon. (character costumes, furniture for the Sims, etc. -seroiously people, don't support this! You're being milked!)
I only support ONE of these. The game-expanding DLCs. Expansions are, with a few exceptions, a thing of the past, replaced with DLC. That's okay, as long as it's done well. Sloppy, quick, extra levels are NOT okay. Game enhancing, expansive additions are good, and provide the ability for expansions that generally were not available to console games.
DLC around or on release of game - Rip off, should be included in game from the start. Unlockable by achieving things in the game.
Extra content a few months later - A lot cheaper (or free). Total cost of game is £40 and you played for 25 hrs plus, content is £8 and lasts 2hrs at most.
Content that extends the game (like Wipeout HD Fury) - fine with.
Hmm, pie.
DLC is great for adding new levels, characters, modes etc. after the game is done and released. However, On-disc and Day 1 DLC is just greedy.
