People should realise that regardless of what companies call their "event" what they have to offer, should never be expected to be better than what is billed.

Where? I said the two big things we learned were that PSO2 and SRW were coming, but that the announcements aren't really big simply because of how far away they are. The SRW game hasn't even begun development yet, it's still in the planning stage. It's hardly a big announcement to say that at some point a game will start to be developed for it. It's at a similar level to the fact they simply said at some point there will be a HD Zelda, it's not really a big announcement because it's so vague.
I then said that the Gundam game could possibly be a big game depending on what it actually is.
So please point out where I made a single comparison about the popularity of series.

I see what you did there, very nice.
I think at this point they need to qualify that these events are Japan centric prior to the broadcast so people know what to expect.

I think xxain was just messing with you due to this quote:
"The Z.A.F.T games were ridiculously popular, then GvG, Next and Extreme were immensely popular. However looking at the footage it seems like there is a very strong possibility that it is a mild remake of Z.A.F.T. II (or I and II) which would be pretty popular but at the same time it went Zaft, Zaft 2, GvG, Next, Extreme, Extreme plus. So it would be pretty out of date. "
I don't think his post was related to mine, but moreso just irony.
My post on the other hand was supposed to read
"super robo is more popular than anything they've announced thus far, and while I don't understand why you would think it's slated for late 2013 since it's not a AAA production franchise, to the average Japanese fan I'd say it's a pretty big deal. On the other hand, I'm also curious as to who's criticisms they are "listening to"...if it's Japanese criticism or WW, because if it's Japanese I'd have to side more with your argument. Perhaps I'm overestimating the value of super taisen, or underestimating the amount of time it would take for development?? Fable 2 to 3 took roughly 18 months. Late 2013 for taisen would be ~24 IF they started development right at launch"
It was something like that.
In between my gf telling me to get off the computer because she wanted to go on facebook, and me hitting post, I'm not sure how it got cut off. Maybe it was highlighted and I hit a button? Not sure.

Ah I see. My post wasn't saying that SRW isn't a big game though. It will be a very big game for Japan when it gets released. It's simply that the announcement wasn't a big one. In the announcement they said that they intended to bring a SRW to the vita, it didn't really sound like any development was in progress. I really can't imagine that from March (now) to December 2012 they could go from the planning stage, to beginning development, to finishing development to gold status. Or at the very least the announcement makes it seem like it isn't even in proper development yet. He basically just talked about the series in general and how they would be bringing an as yet untitled entry to the Vita at some point. When asked about the series and vita and if it was coming soon he seemed very wishy washy and more like ''Yea he are planning to bring it to the vita''
So yes it's a big game but it's just an announcement that a game is being planned or possibly only just begun development so isn't really a big announcement. So yea I'm just guessing the game is most likely coming in 2013 based on the vague way it was discussed by the producer. Like I said in another post it had a feeling of how they 'announced' a HD Zelda coming to Wii U. But really without a title, any indication of when it is launching, if it's even begun development etc etc it doesn't feel like much of an announcement.

Hey yaknow, I had the same idea too when they announced skyward sword at e3. There was like no info on it, and only a painting was made for it, by which it was said that the painting content was subject to change. I was like, "not coming out next year, no way no how". And then it was out by Christmas the next year. I was almost right, but it came out nonetheless. Same thing happened with the Fable 3 announcement. F2 had just released like 4 months prior, and then they like immediately announed 3. I was like, "there is no way they are completing this game in just 2 years" and then they did it, in 2 years 6 days. Fable 1 to 2 was a gap of 3 years 1 month.
I will say that your prediction is the more logical one, but for a A/AA game, I'd think it should release in a hopeful feb, march 2013.

They should have called that event gamers hell or somethimg like that. I really waiting for some system sellers.
Sure games like Gravity Rush will be great experiences and for my tastes this game alone convinced me to buy a vita.
But most gamers didnt care much for a gravity Rush. They care more for a God of War or Monster Hunter or something like that.
Right now the Vita has only one system seller called Uncharted.
