Does anyone else think Magic Duel would make a good introductory episode? The darker presentation and more serious tone would help overcome initial scepticism.

Yeah I agree with radish. I would personally go with an early episode from Season 1, but Magic Duel is good one for someone who thinks MLP doesn't have more serious and dark moments
