Nah, truthfully it is the next coming of Space Harrier with the occassional ground missions between that take some pages out of Panzer Dragoon and Sin and Punishment's playbooks.

I was talking more about the aesthitics then the gameplay

There have plenty of Greek/Roman mythology games before God of War, and aside from probably using similar characters based on the myths, I really can't say I agree. It would be like saying God of War is just a rate M version of Rygar before the last revamp occured.

It was a joke. I realize God of War didn't invent greek mythology.
