I wish SONY liked the PSV as much as I do. The potential of the thing is huge. It could go far, but somehow It seems like it will just end up a slow burner until SONY puts all its eggs into the phone basket.

It's a shame really, since the only other option is the 3DS. It's a shame really, the 3DS is actually the first nintendo handheld I dislike with an actual passion. SONY had the potential to take the torch of traditional handheld gaming from Nintendo when Nintendo went all crazy and did the DS and then went even crazier with the 3DS, but alas SONY messed it up.

Of the big ones; Nintendogs, Mario Kart DS and Super Mario 64 DS. Not sure if Brain Training and Animal Crossing were out yet, could be either way since they were released around the end of the first year if I'm not mistaken. New Super Mario Bros. wasn't released yet though.

Man, not much seems to make that Vita line do more than waver in a tiny, tiny amount.

Yeah PS2's decline and PS3's bad start seemed to affect PSP quite alot, it still amazes me that it got close to DS at all

Good point. That goes to show you the importance of the power of a brand. Oddly that doesn't apply to the Game boy line as much, though the GBA did underperform for a Nintendo handheld (in relative terms of course).
