I was looking at the eshop on the 3DS today and saw Denpa Men. The looks like it might be pretty fun. I was wondering if anyone played the demo. I might just have to get the game. Supposedly someone commented on Nintendolife that one of the programmers worked on a previous DQ game. There aren't any reviews out for it that I see but I suppose I will have to check the demo out myself.  I found the Nintendolife review finally.  For some reason I didn't see it at first but they gave it 9/10.  I might have to bite on the game.

I was going to try and send D21 and Smeags a gift through the eshop but Nintendo doesn't support gift giving on the 3DS yet... Ah well...

I picked up The "Denpa" Men a few days ago and I've been having a blast playing it. It's published by Nintendo and developed by Genius Sonority ( developers made up from people who worked on the DQ, Pokemon, and Earthbound/Mother series)

If you like dungeon crawlers with a unique twist then you should definitely pick it up.

As someone who normally doesn't like dungeon crawlers, I find this game to be entertainng and nut cumbersome at all. The combat system while simplistic is steamlined and flows rather quickly, there are no random battles, and all the dungeons I've been to are structured ( Not randomly generated)

IMO it's defintiely worth the asking price if you like dungeon crawlers or just enjoy the fact that Nintendo is releasing new IPs.

@seth: 10 dollars for an unused Murumasa game, that's bloody sweet, mate! :)

Lucky you, ol'chap. ;)

I just bought it (Denpa Men) but haven't booted it up. Not the biggest RPG fan but this game looks fun. I thought it was interesting that on the eshop I believe more people voted for it being a casual game over intense (I believe that is the word they use instead of hardcore). So this should be a fun RPG that almost anyone can enjoy.

glad to see Braverly doing great at least in the media
i hope it boost its sales
Project X a bit disappointing, but i would still get if it came

@spurgeonryan: I do have Amazon in my region, I just don't like to buy stuff on the net. And if when I do, I don't have a credit card. But wait, it gets better from here, I'm not even eligible to get a credit card, 'cause I have no income, and the reason is that I'm still hunting for work...

I know I'll get one eventually, I'm just tired of being blown over... x.x

Denpa Men is quite a surprise. I thought $10 was quite high at first but by the time I finished the 8th dungeon, it's easily worth $20.
2 more dungeons to go. Don't know if there's any extras after that.

It sounds like Capcom is putting a lot of effort into the HD Monster Hunter Tri. One of the dissapointing things about the Wii version for me was that there was no main quest local co-op. It sounds like Capcom is fixing that by allowing local co-op play with the 3DS, which means my brother and I can team up and complete the entire campaign.

Indeed, after trying the demo I was eager to download it but got kinda put off by the $10 price. I decided to take a chance and can glady say that this game is worth the price of admission. I've already put in 12 hours into the game, I normally don't care for dungeon crawlers because for me most of them become a chore to play. Denpa Men is different, its never a chore to play thanks to the solid gameplay and charm of the Denpa Men. I highly recommend this game to everyone in this thread.

Can't you get a prepaid card? That's what I use when I buy on the net (and Steam).

@spurge: Monster Hunter 3 supporting 1080p doesn't mean that it will be in 1080p ...
