You can always get it for Wii. Getting the original for SNES might be a bit hard to get or pricey. Check ebay.
Most people here, or at least those who are vocal about it, seem to have been raised with NES, SNES or N64. That`s why the biggest Zeldas or always the same three: Zelda 1, ALTTP and N64.
It`s rare someone mentioning the handheld games.

YEah, I imagine it'll cost some on the second hand market =/ I just think that a game like that should be enjoyed on the original console :D

Yeah, I get the same feeling: it's the "old school" Zelda enthusiasts that's got all these opinions about where to take the series, and no wonder really; they've seen the series transform from 2D to 3D, to WW, TP and SS - we've seen it all =) But I think Link's Awakening is usually mentioned, for the Game Boy, as one of the best entries in the series?

Link's Awakening is mentioned by most older Zelda fans. Rightfully so, the game is utter genious in every aspect. It is unbelievable the game was even possible on the GameBoy as it gives it's 'big' brother on the SNES a serious run for it's money. I feel it even surpasses it easily. It's still underrated though, as far as I'm concerned, but I think the 3DS port of the game did it some good at least.

Personally, I think Link's Awakening is the second best Zelda game after Ocarina of Time. It also ranks high in my personal top 10 video games in general.

it is true though, most Zelda fans mention LoZ, ALttP and OoT as the defining games, even when LA has a lot of 'series-firsts'. Younger fans usually mention Twilight Princess instead of the 2D games. Ah, well, not their fault, they just weren't around back then!

@Spurge: Sorry I'm not much of a help for you, mate. But atleast you can play SS, for some unknown reason I still can't find my copy ever since I put it away when I found out th disc got scratched and that was the time we found out about the game breaking glitch. My adventure got postponed since then... x_x

OMG! The 64mini resemble the GCN from top view!
Please, Nintendo! Let me have access to wii shop channel in my region so I can aquire those ol'skool games that I want so much!!! Please fix this on the WiiU!!!!!! RealBout: Fatal Fury 2 just got on my list of the many retro games I want!!! @.@

And proud member of the Mega Mario Movement!

Wii U Deluxe totally paid off, now. I'm going to go ahead and get a Pro-Controller, a Wii Remote Plus, and a few games next Friday. I think I'll grab a game a week until launch. That way, I can be behind on my Wii U games from day one!

Must Haves: NSMB U, Call of Duty BlOps 2 (Wii Remote functionality FTW!), Batman Armored, and Rayman. There will be more but that's all I need right now.

Here is a question for any PC gamers who also love Nintendo as I do, when it comes to Black Ops 2, what are you going to do? I am a firm believer and enjoy the keyboard and mouse control in an FPS game, however wanting to support Nintendo I could go with this game, wondering if the tablet experience will be that good (compared to the kb/mouse). Has anyone tried it? Would be great if I got a free PC copy with purchase of the console one but I know that is not going to happen (It did with Portal 2 on PS3 and Valve, so one can dream).

Following the EA vs Nintendo thing, FIFA 2013 its been released today, with no online! AND COSTS 50 euro!!!!!

As much as I loved keyboard + mouse I will get this for the Wii U, mostly because I want to try the new tablet controller on BO2, and after hearing things about the zombie mode I'm more interested in how they can use the GamePad. If that doesn't work for me I will just play the game with the wiimote and maybe eventually with mouse + keyboard (when the game it's extremely cheap)

I can't speak for the Wii U pad but I did play WaW and BO on the Wii.  I used the Wiimote+nunchuck option and loved it.  Goldeneye for some reason didn't feel that good with the Wiimote+nunchuck (the pointer either went too fast or too slow or I don't even know, I'll have to play with the settings more but they had the controls down good for the CoD games).  So you rest your elbow on your knee (for the pointer/aiming) and just use the nunchuck to run around.  The controls take a little bit to get used to but once you got them down they work fine.  I just like pointing to aim over dual analog.  So I would say Wiimote+nunchuk > Wii U pad for FPS (considering Wii U pad you are using dual analog).

Seriously, a 3DS game for 50 euro?? Lol! First and only if true!

I never believed that EA was against Nintendo, always though it was a conspiracy theory... but I'm starting to believe!

I really wouldnt care if the game was worth it, but FIFA for the 3DS is one of the laziest efforts ive seen in my life period
