I don`t think power will be the issue that it was this generation. What`s more important is that Wii U gets a good foot on the hardcore market and ports will come even if PS4 and Xbox720 are more powerful.
And so far, Wii U is getting support. Way more than Wii ever had and it`s even a bigger deal, seeing as Wii U is the successor to the casual console, Wii.

I don`t think the support will dry out, mainly because developers will need more sources of revenue. Games will see an increase in development costs again and there`s so much that you can take from a 60/70 $/€ game. Even with DLC it doesn`t pay the bills. It seems that nowdays if your average studio fails in selling one game it`s all over. Even big companies like Sega, EA and THQ have suffered a lot this generation.

My guess is that even developers want Wii U to succeed so they can be safe from the rising costs. And not every Wii U owner will own a HD twin or PS4/Xbox 720 console, so the market will be there.
There will be games that will fail on Wii U, games that won`t come out for it but i hope that`s just the exception and not the rule.
Nintendo has a whole year to make this happen.

In terms of support we will have a better idea even before Wii U comes out. The next Nintendo Direct might be the starting moment to build hype for the console and where all the NDAs end! One can hope! :D

That reveal would surprise pretty much everyone! :D

You know what? That could actually happen. Imagine Nintendo saying: We get Steam on Wii U and you give us HL3 as a time exclusive - among other treats! Believe! :D

Speaking of surprises, i bet that Capcom game is Devil May Cry!
