For once it isn't, Atlus doesn't have a European office so other publishers have to do it instead which usually gives a 6 month difference between US and Europe realese.

The way the story is written, it looks like it's only one store, not the whole HMV chain. Those are 350 consoles, which is still very good for just 1 store.

The interesting thing are the 78% of black consoles. Do people no longer like the white color? Or is it that "gamers" must have their consoles in black?

Well, you're aint hardcore if you don't have a black console these days! Just look at the Wii: it was white and therefore not hardcore. Core gamers goes by color obviously!
