that GBA racer looked good...

The idea of a Nintendo tablet with real usable controls makes me wet my pants.......
wait, the WiiU!!!

So NSMB2 is going to be same price retail and digital?

Well that's just a greedy move Nintendo. The downloadable version should be at least $5 cheaper. Now 'm really curious to see how many people will pick it up digitally.

I'm an advocate for motion controls, Nintendo, and Kicking freaking Toad to the Moon!

Looks that way. Only difference is Nintendo can have a better profit margin now and raise and reduce prices with ease without worrying about retailers. ;)

It seems that NSMB2 is going to cost only 34 dollars in my country (68 brazilian reals).

This is what a famous brazilian Nintendo news site is claming.

PS.: Any ordinary Nintendo 3DS game bought at a retailer here costs around 75 dolars.

What a glorious day :'(

I understand Nintendo doesn't want to undercut retailers and sully their relationship with big chains like GameStop. Doesn't mean I agree with the pricing, but I get why they're doing it.

If DarkTemplar's source is correct, I guess Nintendo doesn't care about undercutting retailers in smaller markets, which is fine with me. Such an enormous difference in software costs in those countries could really help expand the market and do great things for Nintendo's business (and their customers) in those regions! I'm glad Nintendo is starting to pay more attention to their pricing and how it affects their business.

i dont really care tbh
i would send them money if the needed....

i love Tycoon series
too bad its rollercoaster, its my last fav.
Transport Tycoon how i miss U !!!!!

Nintendo Plans To Share Download Data

Nintendo has announced that it will share the download numbers of New Super Mario Bros 2 when it hits the Nintendo 3DS eShop next month. The numbers will be made public so that the industry ‘can better understand’ the market. Will you be purchasing the retail copy of New Super Mario Bros 2, or the digital copy?

“We would like to show the public the number of New Super Mario Bros. 2 or Onitore that have been sold by download so that those in this industry can make the next move after finding out the consumer behaviour toward download version”

“When they know the size of the digital distribution market, they might be inclined to accept a certain inventory risk to try the download sales with special features.”

That's really good! Hopefully VGC'll be able to do it soon also.
