Pro Evolution Soccer - Competition from FIFA
Final Fantasy - True. But after more than a dozen Final Fantasy games, it was bound to get stale.
Kingdom Hearts - Disney + Final Fantasy. Many people dont even remember Mickey Mouse anymore.
Tekken - Too much competition in this genre. and with Capcom milking Street Fighter with super and ultimate editions, it damaged the whole genre.
Soul Calibur - Same thing as Tekken.
Dragon Ball Z fighting games - DBZ was over a long time ago. These games are being based on the same old story. People aren't going to keep buying the games when there are plenty of new anime they would rather see made into a game.

As a moderator on this site want to give some statements as to how stating ''your [all Japanese] games just suck'' is hardly false? Because I would say that is teetering on trolling, in fact you even state it is trolling then agree with it. 

For every single point you make about how all Japanese games now suck I will give you a Japanese game with over 80% on metacritic from the last few years. 

There are still VAST amounts of high quality games coming out of Japan. Both the Western and Japanese industry also put out a lot of rubbish. The only reason I have EVER seen given for all Japanese games sucking is quite simply that people have got used to the Western style of gritty style + Go here and press this and you will be awesome. When presented with something liek Vanquish which is highly stylized and where you are only going to be awesome after learning the game and getting good at it they simply think it sucks.

If someone doesn't want to purchase a product because they believe someone in that company is an asshole then so be it.  I believe Steve Jobs and his isheep have made me want to stay as far away from Apple as I possible can.  I will never own an Apple products due to their employees and consumers acting like complete douche bags and assholes most of the time.

I see this gen more at that western developers are taking the space that belongs to them. Before this gen it was pretty amazing how Japanese dominated the whole console industry when you consider that there are some differences between tastes of Japanese and western consumers. This gen with consoles becoming enough powerfull and more PC like western devs that used to make games only for PC have sarted to make games also for consoles. Pretty many of this gen big ips have PC origins or are from long lasting PC dev (Call of duty, Elder's Scroll, Fallout, Mass Effect etc.). Japanese games are selling just fine when you count handhelds. It's just that sales of western games have exploded in the meantime.  As for quality with handhelds included I really don't see that big drop with Japanese games. Maybe small drop and even that has come from the fact that Japanese devs have tried to make more western like games and failed. Regarding the quality of western games it's just that mainstream audience can now enjoy the games that PC gamers have enjoyed forever. Quality has always been there.

Well, even the west has its share of bad games.

So the Japanese dude who was in a place full of foreigners being polite to the guy and praising his game and movie suddenly gets a "I think your games just suck" from him? must have been embarrassing.

How many games has this guy released? if he thinks Japanese games suck, then he must think his games are better than all Japanese games... unless he knew he was developing a total piece of shit.

By the way, my opinion on games is totally different from his, I think it's the western developed games that (mostly) suck with a few exceptions here and there but that's me. My collection consists mostly of Japanese developed games.

I don't know why people think Western games have gotten better this gen. I think that they're the same they were last gen, it's just that they jumped from PCs to consoles and the media likes to focus on these games but the quality remains the same... maybe they've even been "consolised" in their jump from PCs to consoles to fit the audience and the controllers instead of keyboard + mouse so it could be argued that Western games have gone down in quality during this gen.

if so, there is your problem. You are burned out on the series. Pokemon is also supposed to be for children.

You can't expect these games now to be as fun as they were years ago when you were growing up.

Japanese games dont' suck. Stop making generalizations.

Indie developers are beginning to feel like they can say whatever they want. And it's starting to become distasteful.

Not tryn to sound like hater or anything, but the majority of Japanese games that were released over the last few years have sucked ass.

True or untrue, the guy clearly needs a rather urgent lesson in tact and humility...
