Forums - Nintendo - Top 8 games that were wasted on the Wii

The online is amazing on Monster Hunter. I'm thinking about buying the game, but I think I'll hold out for the 3G version because it has more content for single player.

I love playing first person shooters on the Wii, the pointing is much better and fluid than using analog sticks. I played tons of first person shooters before(including Call of Duty), but on Wii it's much better.

Many of these games could've been on the Wii U, but some are just fine on the Wii. The Wii U might have make them look better(and add some functionality and increase playtime), but I'm not complaining about what we got already.

You may prefer Dual analog controls for shooters but IR pointing is factually more fluid and precise than it is. It only comes second to mouse in that regard.

And I'm not even going to bother addressing your " skyward Sword could easily have been done with another joystick." Mr. Game Designer.

LOL.

Then would you please tell me why all recent Call of Duty's on the PS3 was not for the Move?

Laziness on the developer's part, nothing more.

But if the developers weren't lazy and included nothing but motion controls it would have sold more and not less ?

Who said anything about just motion controls? Superior as pointer controls are, many conservative gamers are still too attached to the old method to give it up yet. Having both would be the ideal solution. (Though just motion would not have hurt the game's quality at all)

Has to be a pretty damn large portion of gamers who're conservative in that case then, since developers won't even bother.

90% of wii games are shovelware... the games that could pass as games normally would have been better off for xbox and PS3... i mean Just dance is fun and all... but worth buying a wii over? heck no.

not sure if trolling or just stupid.
i defy you to play COD, battlefield, or skyrim with the wii controllers effectively. motion controls will be nothing until decent virtual reality is here.

Developers who go the extra mile do. Eurocom put it in the PS3 port of Goldeneye, making it the best version of the game. Killzone 3 also had it.

^ Not sure if trolling or just plain rude.

I play COD with Wii controls and it works beautifully.

The OP was enjoyable and I agreed to a degree. The Wii doesn't need HD. I must admit thought that I would have loved to see all those games in HD. I'm really looking forward to the Wii U first party game line-up!
I have to remind you that the Wii does use component cables. It may only upgrade the resolution to 480p but it sure does look better! :)

2 things:

imo Dualanalog is sooooooo dated and feels unnatural, IR pointing is much more FUN since requires REAL pointing skill

90% of Wii games are shovelware, TRUE
Wii has 2400 games, the 10% is 240 games that are not shovelware
Im pretty sure that most of us havent played 240 games in our whole life
That argument is just STUPID,
U couldnt even play every good game released on the Wii

You are wrong, I proved it, you ignored the proof.  Recoil, laughable. Not wasting anymore time.

You didn't prove your point either.  You said Target Locks combined with reduced sized bounding boxes create an easy to use auto aim whihc is not the case because even when locked on, you still have to aim your weapon.  What youa re suggesting is that if you use Target Lock, you can therefore poitn anywhere at the screen and it would hit the target anyway and this is completely incorrect.  You still have to manually aim.

As for the recoil and rate of fire issues?  Go ahead and laugh.  Or do something like actually look it up.  Or perhaps you'll recall that I talk with developers (I did tell you guys about the CoD games on Wii months before they were ever announced when people like you were saying it would never happen).
