games are made for 360 then ported to ps3 this is why multiplatform games look and play better on 360 compared to PS3 on average.

anyways. this means halo got a new engine i suppose... good. maybe halo will return to its roots? or become something better? either or i'l be happy.

Oh man I can't wait to see it. I've always loved the art style of Halo, but the graphics engines have always put more effort into big open environments than the little details. With such a talented 3D engine programer I can't wait to see what 343 has done to enhance Halo. I just hope they don't scale back the open environments, I want both incredible killer graphics and sandbox battlefields.

Yeah, I'm surprised it took this long for someone to make a thread about this. As a Halo fan, nice graphics would be cool, I guess, but any fan will tell you that game play is king. But I know if it's even debatable, then some of us (360/Halo people) will act like assholes about it all and the forums are gonna be yet another shit storm. I can see it now, all these graphics king threads popping up then the Sony fans calling them out (and rightfully so) for saying graphics didn't matter all this time, lol. Who is that 360 guy always making those threads anyway? Is it Selnor? Gonna be a mess boy.

Its a qualified statement the qualification being "we ever made" .

I actually prefer ODST graphics to Reach, some games just don't need incredible graphics, Left 4 Dead 2 level is more than good enough for me.

That said, I still appreciate good looking games, like Alan Wake.

I just hope that they don't sacrifice the 4 player split screen and the class leading engine performance in order to produce those visuals. Halo for me is great because it was the first console shooter I could actually play on a console and not get pissed off, lets not move away from what made the series what it is in the first place.

Yes, it's almost as if the games are exactly the same. For example, that game ME3 on the 360, look a lot like Mass Effect 3 on the PS3
