I think a fall 2013 release is the smartest release date for Super Mario 4. With full online and offline coop. The choice of 2D Mario would be ideal for combatting Sony and Microsoft's new hardware since they will give Nintendo a hard time winter 2013. I still however stand by my initial business plan in regards to launch line up. I thin Nintendo's focus should be on new IP as well as some under developed less popular IP and a couple rebooted of old popular IP. The big guns shouldn't be present till next winter and the fiscal year starting in 2013-14. That includes Mario, Zelda and SmashBros. Though I think Pokemon would be a smart IP to use within the first year of WiiU. In fact a day one Pokemon XD sequel for Japan alongside the announcement of a Final Fantasy and Monster Hunter would secure Nintendo's dominance in Japan.

Maybe a FFXIV and FFXIII Versus ports. Or a version of FFXV, but I'm not expecting a major FF exclusively for Wii U.

For Pokemon, PokePark 2 has been released too recently, so no. And mainline games are only portable. expect to continue that. And won't be surprised if the same occurs to MH.

About a 2D Mario, well, is not going to persuade to early adopters to not buy PS4/720, but will help to keep a decent amount of consoles sold.

Pokemon Battle Revolution launched in Japan on the 14th and Wii on the second. So a Pokemon like that with full online play and even some mini games like the Mii quest in streetpass could make the game push the console.

An exclusive FF or a special version could be the thing the series needs to get on it`s feet again. Nintendo`s crowd hasn`t got a FF for years!

All Nintendo need to dominate Japan is a Monster Hunter to go along with Dragon Quest X, the Final Fantasy franchise isn't as strong as it used to be over there. Dragon Quest > Monster Hunter > Final Fantasy.

Mind you, if they manage to secure all 3 as exclusives they won't be able to make the things quick enough lol.

hope its true, but think that this will make sense with what tyrone said in the IDEAME, the fact that the graphics dont will matter in the next gen, there will be no "best version" in graphics therms he said including the wii u

also vigil said recently that the wii u is a truly next gen piece so....

Could these be the first actual screens of a game running on WiiU?  Either way, it's nice to see that logo proudly represented.
