The Wii U is rumored to be capable to use Unreal Engine 4, plus this was posted on a Nintendo site.

I was under the belief it would be a tweaked version of UE4??

Why won't nintendo give us what we want: a machine that can run all of Nintendos fantastic games AND 3rd parties!? I'm worried this'll be wii all over again...

Dang! Well If it's true us Nintendo fans will be with the underpowered console again. Which really doesn't bother except for the fact that the 3rd party developers will make all their games for the New Xbox and PS4 and ignore the Wii-U

Yeah just like Shenmue 2, it was ported to Xbox and was xactly the same game, no graphical improvement at all...
im pretty sure Dreamcast could handle Xbox ports...so your point is pointless...

Honestly, I despise the idea of only using one thread for Nintendo discussion, and another one for WiiU discussion.

Searching through a 150 page discussion of everything Nintendo is a total b*tch, when the subject I'm interested in is on page 123 or something. It makes me not visit the forum altogether.

Separate subjects should have separate threads. There is a Nintendo section in the forum. In case you haven't noticed.

The point of the Official Nintendo thread is to gather up small news stories that aren't thread worthy, or at least that's what Spurge said. The forums would just be cluttered and uninteresting if it were filled with a bunch of small uninteresting news stories. (Like the Microsoft forum) I understand your second point, and I'll probably talk to him about that. 

Ok, then I understand the purpose of this thread (and others like it). It would be cool if bigger news stories could have separate threads, instead of being sandwiched between twenty pages. I don't know if that's the case, but it sometimes seems to be.

Glad to see your optimisstic and have faith in 3rd party developers.

I on the other hand have zero faith in 3rd party developers and the core gamers. Once the next Xbox and PS4 come out 3rd party's will give them all their support and leave Nintendo high and dry. The Core gamers will follow suit and abandon their Wii-U's. Nintendo will once again just rely on it's own software to carry it's system.

I think the Wii U is going to awesome and I can't wait to get it. I just don't expect to have a bunch of great 3rd party support. Basicly I think the system will end up being like the Wii, Successful and home to great 1st party games but has crappy 3rd party support and will be hated by the core gamer.
