In a few month's E3 will be back once again to show off some new extravagant games and possible new hardware and a lot of people are speculating of a new Xbox 720 and PS4. I do think there will be our first glimpse of Microsoft's new console but not so much a new Playstation console.

I believe Sony will be finally introducing the "real" PS3 Slim during E3 this year with a price cut. I can see them creating a new PS3 half the size of the current one with all the same features possible new ones. Price will be cut to $199 for base model and $250 for high end, and finally hitting the mass market price.

So what do ya think possible? I do belive Sony has never called the newest model of PS3 "Slim".

While that's definitely possible, they will be revealing a PS4.

I doubt there will be a PS4 this year at E3. Sony needs to focus on profiting right now, and not worrying about another big red ink label on their financial papers. Focus on the games while Nintendo/MSFT combat each other with next generation stuff.

You really expect them to drop the price over $50?

Why would they reduce the price with a new slim? They need to make as much money as possible. This gens almost over anyways..... bring on the ps4

Price, nothing. New model, lots of suckers would "upgrade" their old PS3 to the "new" one, just like they did with the slim that was not a slim.

Plus introduce a permanent range of colours (probably don't need pink) and people will replace their black one with a colour that's better for their Feng Shue.

Heck, at the right price I'd seriously consider buying a second PS3 if only to get a 2nd Blu-ray player for our other TV, with the added benefit of all 3 gamers in the house being able to game at the same time (i.e. 2 on PS3 1 on PC). Though might have to sign up for PSN+ to get cloud saves...hmmmm dunno about that bit.

I think bringing out the official slim when the PS4 is first revealed will help prevent PS3 sales falling through the floor like they have for Wii, though I don't think it's only Wii U that made Wii sales fall through the floor.

This, at the most.  Definitely nothing substantial on it at E3.
