I think anyone hoping for a 2d Zelda is setting themselves up to be mad. They did say that it would be similar to what was in the demo. I think you might have to look to 3ds for your 2d zelda fix or just play one of the older ones. Maybe they will do a wacky hybrid where its 3d on the screen but 2d on the pad, i dont know

Of course it is! We all knew it, it is nice to have a conformation by the man himself though. ^-^ I can't wait for it and the 3DS one! Especially if it looks like the Zelda HD Demo!!

If it looks anything like the E3 demo (why wouldn't it) then it will smash.

I'm just as excited for this as anyone, but they can't let Aonuma work on anything else? We just got Skyward Sword. Now is the perfect time to let him take the reigns on a new IP.

.... I think it says how different my feelings for Zelda are to most fans that my first thought on this was ''Oh good grief a wind waker styled game would look beyond beautiful'' Realistically though I know it's not going to happen *sigh*.

I would be happy if they kept it so the Wii U does realistic graphic Zeldas and the 3DS does Wind Waker styled ones. Even happier if someday we got a new WW looking game on Wii U though.
