Soooo Desmonds ancestry originated in the middle East. Then somewhere in there they decided to immigrate to Italy where they formed the aristocrat Auditore family. Then later one generation immigrated to America to start a new life there. Living on the frontier lands they came into contact with a freindly group of Native Americans. The ancestor apparently fancied one female in particular.

Desmonds DNA is part Arab, Italian, and now Native American. Huh, cool.

Think I would have liked the old rumor of the French Revolution a little more as they could really get some great things out of that. But I'm still interested to see how this will differ from the others as it can be a more open game given the region at that time. Was disappointed in Revelations so hoping for Ubisoft to rebound here.

Pretty cool cover art as is usually the norm with AC games, hopefully this can combine the best of AC, AC2 and AC:B to form the best one yet!

Definitely good to move onto a new character.

Just so you know Ezio is not a descendant of Altair, and the new character won't be either. The developers have confirmed this, saying that Desmond wouldn't be such a special character in the universe if that was the case, as his father/mother and grandparents etc would have access to all the memories he does. The only way the characters are related is that eventually their family tree converge on one person, Desmond.

On another note, love the box art. My interest in the series has rebounded, amazing what a new setting can do. Seriously hope this isn't a disappointment.

Still need to play Revelations but can't wait for this game. =)

Feudal Japan was my cup of tea, but I gave up on AC after Brotherhood. The American revolution just doesn't seem too interesting to me, personally I think we already have too much of that in games, media, everywhere. No offense to americans.

Preordered. Cannot f'n wait. AC2 was one of the top games this gen, can't say the same for brohood and its sequel, but hopefully this turns it all around and becomes the best AC yet.
