I doubt it. Mega*Insert Pokemon name* are just completely bad. Why can't they just make them real evolutions? Or at least give them names that don't make them sound like complete gimicks.
Do you like them? Would you rather have gotten just plain evolutions like me?

these arent evolutions though. despite the name we have been told multiple times that the Mewtwo is a form, which means the rest are forms.
im not surprised they went this way either, look at gen 5s form extravaganza

I know they aren't evolutions, and that's what bothers me.
Why couldn't they stay away from these ridiculous forms and go for evolutions? Is it that hard?
Did they say why they went for these Mega Forms?

nope. i guess they dont want the Pokemon count to grow to quick. i can see this being the future for Pokemon too, less new pokemon and more forms. the tried and true formula couldnt last forever

its not evolutions!!!! Its a forme, its optional, nothing to hate. Its like starters, you dont have to play the game with them, i haven't with gens 3,4, or 5! Also Ampharos isnt good competitive, but now it will be useful to others that liked the pokemon. Since its already a stage 3 pokemon it couldn't evolve anymore. Solutions? Mega Evolution......IMO its confusing alot of people cuz it has Evo in the name lol

your not getting it, Pokemon such as Amphoros cant evolve, others like Nidoking/Poliwrath/etc so this is a way to do so. Its not even evolution, its a forme! They'll keep on adding at least 100 pokemon each gen, but this is an opportunity to have choices with our pokemon, you know like Eevee?

I could almost understand Mega Evolutions for Pokemon that are already at Stage 3, but that still leaves in Mawile, Lucario, and Absol. Why weren't they just given evolutions?
It's optional, yes. But, if you don't want to use Megalutions, then you won't be able to experience several different Pokemon.
I really, really hope that this doesn't replace evolutions for old Pokemon overall.

Sylveon answers your Question, TBH Lucario doesn't need an evolve. Its already one of the best pokemon in the game. As for Mawil+Absol, they both would be extremely good with Evo Stone so thats why they didn't need Evolutions. But i do hope pokemon like Delibird/Farfetch/Dunsparce get evolutions cuz they NEED THEM. But look on the bright side, Pokemon like Butterfree/Nidoking/Raichu could never evolve right? Now they can get new formes and it gives us a choice to expand our teams!
