Forums - Gaming Discussion - Mass Effect Thread: Leviathan is out, buy it, it's great

Well I've finally gotten to the part that is near impossible for ME3 on my Insanity run. It was all fine and dandy through the whole thing (doing every mission possible) and the most I ever died was 3 times because I was stupid....but now the last combat scene (everyone who's played it knows what I'm talking about) is making up for all of the easiness in previous missions. 12 retries and no sign of being able to pass it. The damn Maurader gets me every stinking time. God this is frustrating.

If anyone has any tips that would be AMAZING.

Is that the part with the like 5 or 6 brutes, those ardacht yakshi things, right before you launch a rocket at the reaper?

Sounds like it, along with 20 banshees. That bit was ridiculously lame, even on casual difficulty, I can't imagine the tears he's shedding on Insanity, can't say I am looking forward to that either.

Actually that part was super easy. I only died once the whole mission.

The part I had trouble with is the ending slow-mo section right before you get up to the Citadel. The Maurader would destroy me instantly most of the time. Altogether it took me over 15 tries to pass that. Finally did it though and got the achievement for completing all missions on Insanity.

I turned off insanity on my first playthrough about half way, at tali's planet where there's like 5 geth prime, I think hardcore whatever the one below it. The part I mentioned made me want to tear my hair out in hardcore even idk. I don't remember that slow-mo part being a problem. Though it basically reminded me of the end of MGS4. XD. But, that was in harcore...

Tech Bursts, Fire Explosion and Biotic Explosion everywhere xD. There really isn't anything more damaging to a large group of enemies, except maybe the occasional heavy weapon here and there.

Yes (although the funny thing is I didn't really do any of those with my squadmates unless it was a hard character to kill)

But the answer is really simple....Energy Drain :P

Also having a +200% recharge speed is a must. So I used Viper X, Phalanx X and Tempest X.

My Shephard was set up for literally every situation. Super powerful weapons (sniper slow-down mod is beast), new game + with Infiltrator (I was already lvl 53 when I started Insanity), Having 2 teammates with overload, My powers were Energy Drain, Incernerate, Cyro rounds, Invise (Invise boosts the power of all powers), Sabotage and sticky grenades.

Ok so the only achievement I have left to get is the hack an atlas one. But for some reason I don't get it even though I've hacked multiple atlases.
