I just found out first hand (in my quest to get an achievement) the utter destruction that a human engineer can have with Overload versus the Geth. Had the Phalanx and a light SMG equipped and proceeded to get 73k points on Silver mostly due to using Overload every 3 seconds.

I think I'm going to have to find a Salarian Infiltrator and 2 Quarian Infiltrators and proceed to go do gold against the Geth.

Are you using Chain Overload as well? I'm prepping my Turian Engineer with it and i'm going to give it a go after a couple more Premium Veteran packs farming.

Yep, Chain Overload is definitely the way to go. I love how it stuns 3 of them at a time and by the time they are unstunned I hit them with it again. It's completely dominant. Plus you have the combat drone which can distract groups of them from firing at your teammates.

That's a pretty darn nice combo for crowd control, got to try it myself then. By the way, I hate everyone who got their hands on a N7 Valiant Sniper. That thing dominates MP like no tommorrow in the hands of a good Infiltrator. You can fire three shots with little to no time between them and no recoil at all and they're almost as powerful as a single shot from the Mantis X.

And here I am, stuck with a shitty N7 Hurricane >_>.

Wow that sounds like a dominant sniper! All I got in both packs for weapons were the N7 shotgun which is useless and the claymore shotgun which weighs 2 tons. I don't know why the game thinks I like shotguns so much (I rather hate them actually) but that's pretty much all it gives me. I already have the Geth Plasma shotgun to 3 because of the damn Spectre Packs.

I've got the Claymore as well, and it's pretty much useless on anything else than a Krogan, but the damage it causes is absurdely high. I've got all shotties myself, but the game thinks that I don't need Sniper rifles that much, since I barely get any of them (only got the Mantis, the Widow and the Viper) even though I play the Infiltrator class 90% of the time

I've forgone farming Spectre packs for now. It pissed me off that I got 5 gold characters in a row in the last Spectre packs that I bought and almost all were the Asari Vanguard. Worst 300K credits spent >_>.

Well, damn son, I thought the Quarian Infiltrator was good, but I was wrong, oh so wrong...

Nothing touches the sheer might and awesomeness that's the Salarian Infiltrator with decent gear. I have both a Mantis X and a Phalanx IX as my loadout, but the Mantis is only there for long range kills, and even then, the Phalanx rapes it in every way possible, as the range and damage it causes it's insane.

But let's not talk about weapons, let's talk about Energy Drain. I wonder how long are they going the keep ED the way, it's bound to get a massive Nerf one of these days. Taking out the entire shields of everything less than a Prime/Atlas even on Gold, even doing some health damage as well. And the stun animation...oh so lovely that it is, the perfect setup for a so easy headshot. And the 3m area that rapes everything over and over every 3 seconds... Yes, because at %156 recharge speed, TC and ED comes out faster than the Geth can scream "We're reaching a Consensus".

I finally made my first two full Gold games with a full random team (all Salarians, it was pretty glorious) and managed to come in first in both, though the first one was rather fun and hard because it was on Firebase Giant and it made me proud to come in first with a rather good score (though the rest of the team perfomed well too):

Though this next one, oh boy what a tale: I was doing a Quick Match up for Silver games as I usually do, and end up in a game with two N7 10s and a N7 120s. The leader waited to see if both the 10s left and tried to kick them out, but after a couple of minutes we ended up playing. We rolled Firebase Dagger and managed to get an extraction somehow. The end result was a biiiiiiiiiiit one sided, for me

But the best part is reserved for last. The 10s guys still remained in the team, and we went for another game. We rolled Firebase Giant and immediatly I thought "okay, we're fucked". The 10s didn't even last wave 1 without dying left and right. By Wave 3, we had the 4 Indoctrination thingies to do, so I went immediatly for it to get through that wave as fast as we could.

Dante644 had enough with the 10s dying and left the game after he got executed by a Geth Trooper (I was on the other side of the map and couldn't get to him on time, but one of the 10s was right beside him and didn't even revived him). So we held out till Wave 5, until the 10s also decided they had enough of dying and both leave at the same time, while I was fending off the Prime.

I was like "WTF, thank you all for leaving me alone on the map I hate the most", but still carried on. Survived Wave 5, Wave 6 was the 4 primary enemies round so it was pretty easy to hold on. Wave 7, 8 and 9 as well, though it was getting progressively harder, even with the Salarian Infiltrator being the beast that he is. I was thinking to myself "Well, if Wave 10 isn't the Upload connection, I might have a shot at this"...I was wrong. It was the Upload connection. Worse, it was what probably is the shittiest, most unfair upload connection in the MP, the one in the middle of the open area of Firebase Giant. On Wave 10. With no Missiles. Alone. Fuck.

What happened was one of the most intense 5 minutes I ever had on the MP of this game. I ran from the open area down the ramps, then I ran the other way up the ramps and into the open area, on and on while the biggest shitstorm of Geth enemies was around me. Still, I managed to get the upload complete in the last 20 seconds XD. Afterwards it was just a matter of surviving and picking off the enemies one by one, which was still no easy task given the 4 Primes always on my ass and the huge amount of Hunters as well. In the end, managed to get an extraction and thus ended what was probably one of the most epic MP moments I ever had in my life. Here are the end results if anyone's wondering (Sorry for the cutting out the time in the pic, it was over 40 minutes):

Sorry for the long post, but I just had to share what an epicly amazing day it has been for me on ME3's MP.

I read it, you basically beat silver by yourself haha?

I've tried bronze by myself. The hard part is when you have to activate the 4 nodes. But, maybe I should just kill everyone first then activate, I haven't tried that yet.

Enemies never stop spawning in the objective phases, though the high-level enemies (banshees, phantoms, atlases) will run out if you kill enough of them.

Getting the objectives isn't so much about killing everyone. It's leading them away from the objective, as far as possible, and then high-tailing it to the objective like a lunatic. It takes them a while to reach you, which gives you some time to do what you need to.

o_0 Beating silver basically by yourself is pretty ridiculous. Energy Drain is definitely my favorite power to use...the dominance of a +150-200% recharge speed ED is probably the most overpowered thing in the game. I've been waiting to unlock the Salarian Infiltrator forever but still he's a no-show >_>

Hey I'm always looking for good people to play ME3 with. Do you play it on XBL?

Sadly, I play it on the PC only. I used to have the ME series for the 360, but I had to sell the console and the games to be able to afford my current laptop.

And yes, ED is basically extremely OP when you can spam it every 3 seconds. I haven't touched the Quarian Infiltrator after unlocking the Salarian one. Sabotage's fine and dandy, but it can't compare to ED.

@Ishiki - Like Khuutra said, objective based waves keep on spawning until you complete the objective. It won't go over a certain number of enemies, but every time you kill one, another one takes it's place, so it's pretty much pointless to do it, except for crowd control reasons in Upload Connection situations, or prioritary enemy personnel. Best thing to do is literally run away and lead enemies away from it, but even then there are certain areas in which that's almost impossible.

OT - One thing that really ticks me off is seeing low N7 levelled people going into Silver or Gold difficuties. I've had a couple N7 level 1 - 5 going into games and it's pretty ridiculous. I know some people think they're pretty badass at online gaming, but any new game needs a period of adaptation and experience to get the hang of it, and you're not gonna get it by constantly dying or being a nuisance to your team.
