Forums - Gaming Discussion - Mass Effect Thread: Leviathan is out, buy it, it's great

I actually hope they never show Tali's face.

Trust me, guys. Reveals like that are never satisfactory. Seeing her face will not make you happier, and the mystery will endure far longer than her face would.

I'd be okay with this.

Also, if the characters are killable, Liara is dead.

I am currently blasting through one last Insanity Vanguard runthrough of ME2 in preparation for ME3. I must... succeed!

I know the feeling, as my latest playthrough is still on Mass Effect 1, I'm going through that as well of 3 of my Mass Effect 2 save files and completing all assignments that I have missed. Hopefully will pay dividends when those files are eventually imported into Mass Effect 3. Not got time for another full playthrough of Mass Effect 2 though, I already got one save file pending in addition to the half finished one. The galaxy better be thankful when I'm done.

I've got three profiles set up that I'm going to do initial runthroughs on. After that I'll do a few more (probably three) complete runthroughs, ME1->ME2->ME3. After that I'll probably stay on ME3 a while, moving back primarily to ME2 as I feel the need.

But then I'm sure more alignment and romance and gender combinations will occur to me, and I'll want to experience them myself.

I could keep playing these games for a long time, I guess.

Again, I know the feeling. First really engaging campaign in a video game I've played that doesn;t get extremely boring once you know what happens. Suppose that's RPGs for you. Why it took me so long to try one that wasn't Pokemon I don't know.

What? Come on, Liara has got your back all the time, she is the best of bros, the best

Also I feel like I haven't seen you in a long time for some reason

I get this feeling from very, very few RPGs. Pretty much jsut this, Fire Emblem, the Witcher and EarthBound. EarthBound isn't even for the same reason.

For FE, Witcher, and ME, it's that every playthrough actually can be substantially different in terms of mechanics as well as presentation. There's just so much variety, so many things to do. It's so rich, like eating gold.

I loved the first trailer, Bioware's CG is brilliant, and the idea of having to save the earth is brilliant. I played the first game and gave it away after about 8 hours, it didn't exactly sweep me off my feet, but I got it back and I'm going to give it another go.

You definitely have to give it a second chance. It almost happened the same to me, I almost gave up in the Citadel, after the first mission. It was boring going from one spot to another doing almost nothing, but once you leave the Citadel...

OT: I'm really excited, I loved 1 and 2! I just hope they keep the mechanics of ME2 and add a few of the options in ME1. That would make it perfect for me.

(Bioware, you better don't come up with a Dragon Age 2 fiasco or not even an army of Reapers could protect you!)

Please excuse my bad English.

Currently gaming on a PC with an i5-4670k@stock (for now), 16Gb RAM 1600 MHz and a GTX 1070

Steam / Live / NNID : jonxiquet    Add me if you want, but I'm a single player gamer.

You should look at the videos in the OP; they pretty much did exactly what you want.

Is there any evidence of Kasumi or Zaeed being in ME3? I'm really tempted/contemplating(I have been for about a year) getting Kasumi. I'm Female Shepard Renegade (my first time playing a lady in ME2, insanity, and renegade). Who romanced liara in ME1. *Edit* I really wanted to romance mordin. But ME2 won't let me* But I get the aliens I don't like as much :(.

I have an Infiltrator Paragon with liara romance, but I have a save, right before the suicide mission, I'm not sure I want 2 liara romances.
I hope you can romance wrex. in ME3. :D.

You can't romance Kasumi or Mordin. Females can romance Jacob, Garrus, Thane, or Liara.

Feel free to get Kasumi though, her loyalty power is great. Not as good as Liara's, but bring her along on Collector missions. She can shut down Harbinger long enough for you to kill him.

Here's a thought.

You know Tali's recruitment mission in ME2? How there's a geth colossus at the end and he's really tough?

Anybody ever played Vanguard, Charged him, and tried to kill him from point-blank?

Let me tell you, that's one of gaming's better thrills.

Haven't tried Vanguard yet, but I did solo him as an Adept on Insanity at close range (mostly because I couldn't be arsed to revive the two buffons who fall like leaves whenever they see Geth on Insanity >_>).

It was....fun
