Forums - Sony - A funny British man talks about PSVita

That was an awesome video and mirrors my experience with the Vita, very well. I enjoyed it. Thanks for posting.

Around the Network

Oh nice I remember this guy, and dang 42 minutes! Guess I will give it a shot.

Why is everyone acting surprised that digital is overpriced? It has been this way forever on consoles/handhelds. Steam is the best place to shop digitally by far.

Because as far as "digital" goes, it's the only choice on the Vita, there's one shop and that's Sony's. Digital downloads have much more relevence on a handheld than a non-portable console. Add to this that, and yes I know it shouldn't be compared, but let's face it, it will be....The App store from Apple has far cheapers versions of the some of the same games.

That isn't exactly a response to my post, but it's of course what consumers will do.

Eh yes it is. You wrote it like this is a big problem while it isn't. And yes, Sony's playstation division has of course always been notorious for being greedy. Sony don't control the price 3rd party games sell their games for on PSN.

I only stated why digital distribution on consoles is the way it is.

Me quoting you doesn't always mean that I intend to pick a fight, you beast.

Hmm I'm sure you expect a reply

Edit: And now you leave me wondering if being a beast is a good or a bad thing...

I'd hazard a guess they have some input and negotiation power at least, that's beyond doubt come to think of it. Clearly, it's their store and as such they can make stipulations to potential publishers and so on. £45 for FIFA 12 port is downright scandelous.
