Good People Die launch numbers are quite poor. Hell the 3DS version only outsold the Vita version by 3k units. Wasn't 999 popular in Japan?

I'm so happy about 3DS, tops 5,050,000, and software is amazing, 6M by late spring to summer.

anyone suprise for this poor sales of Tekken? i mean fighting games is dead in japan...

Pretty sure the arcade scene is still rather large over there. It's just a case of an average game, and a handheld exclusive fighting game, which is just pointless for the fighting game tourney scene. It can't really be played at a competitive level and you're better off sticking to Tekken 6 and waiting for Tekken Tag Tournament 2.

The rest of Q1 calendar for 3DS in japan is simply beautiful - sales wise.

Kid Icarus Uprising
Kingdom Hearts
Pokemon Nobunaga
If I Were in a Sealed Room With a Girl, I'd Probably XXX (lol - maybe this could be a hit, who knows)


And all theses games coming in march, it's going to be an epic month!
But I just want Animal Crossing...

PSV sales rather low, wondering if it can actually go below 10k.
And am I the only one who expected 3DS HW to go over 100k with those two launches?

Since Western developers as a whole don´t really care about dedicated handheld gaming systems, Japanese sales become extremely important for the success of handhelds (unlike the home console scenario), so I hope the Vita can find success in Japan.It needs 'its Monster Hunter fever', to do for it what MH single handedly did for the PSP.
