Forums - Nintendo - 3DS Analog Stick

Does anyoen else hate the 3DS analog stick? My finger seems to slowly slide off it untill I have to readjust. Is this just me? It doesn't seem to happen with any controllers or the PSP. How do you stop this I just want to hold it down without my finger slipping off.

I hate that to I just lick my finger and get grip.

Well, I just try to keep my thumb on the opposite side of where I'm pointing the slider, not in the middle of it as you're supposed to.

I definitely don't hate it though. Truth is that it has made me look forward to the even more precise Wii U circle Pads. It does get worn out though, so I hope that this thing will release outside of Japan pretty soon (even if I don't expect it):

i guess it likes my finger

don't mind my username, that was more than 10 years ago, I'm a different person now, amazing how people change ^_^

Well I don't have a 3ds, but I have played games on it a few times at Gamestop and what not and I have to say I don't like the stick either, the Vita surprisingly with it's smaller analog sticks feel much better.

It doesn't happen to me when I play 3D Land, but it does when I play Street Fighter IV (I get competitive and sweat a bit). To fix it, I usually just take a quick break, wash my hands with soap and give them a good dry. If you're really intense, have a shower and give your head a good shampoo, that's where most of the body grease comes from.

It's the mix of sweat and a bit of natural grease that causes it to slip. If you're really intense, wear a wristband (haven't tried that yet :D).

But personally, I adore the circlepad. Only controllers I find compete with it are the cube and the 360 controllers.

I view it more as a slider than a "true stick"; but that's just me. I have no trouble playing most genres with it and I have almost everything from LoZ:OoT to RE:R (awesome game by the way gives OoT a run for the best title for the 3DS). I need to try it on something more intense like Kid Icarus and see if it will still be as responsive as it would be though.

Its very responsive and it feels good, its the sliding off that bothers me. Wonder if I can custom change the analog.

I like the Circle Pad more than analog sticks. It's perfect for handheld gaming. Vita should've had some of these, I don't like the sticks on it.
