Forums - Sony - Ninokuni PS3 coming to Europe in Q1 2013 :(

PlayStation 3 exclusive Japanese role-playing game Ni No Kuni launches in Europe in Q1 2013.

Publisher Namco Bandai is localising the Studio Ghibli and Level-5 collaboration, adding English voices and subtitles in French, Italian, German and Spanish.

The game also includes the original Japanese voiceover, which you'll be able to listen to with English subtitles.

"We have worked very hard on Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch and it has been a great honour to collaborate with Studio Ghibli and [composer] Joe Hisaishi, so it was important for me that players outside Japan also have the best experience of the game we can give them," said Level-5 boss Akihiro Hino.

"To make this possible, we decided to invest the time in localising the game so that as many people as possible across Europe can enjoy the full experience in their own language."

Ni No Kuni has a Western subtitle of Wrath of the White Witch. The name refers to a magical world into which the hero, a 13-year-old boy called Oliver, can travel, using a magical book given to him by a fairy disguised as a doll. The game appears to take place between two realities: the real world, and the land of Ni No Kuni.

When I saw the date, I thought I misread it at first.  I'm hoping for an NA release this year, so I can import (region free ftw!).  On the plus side, at least it's dual audio, I guess.

Moar liek Namslow Bandai.

What the hell. The game doesn't have paid DLC right? Might just get the US version.

It does suck that it's coming out in such a long time but on the plus side it is still coming out. I mean we had not heard about it for a long while now so it's nice to know it's still alive.

yeah, I guess at least it's coming out, which is more than can be said for the DS version.  On that subject, I'm sure I saw an article about 18 months ago on the ONM website where NoE hint that they would localise Inazuma Eleven and Ninokuni for the DS.  As the former has been done (and the 2nd one is coming soon), I assumed Ninokuni DS would have been released late last year.

I guess the presence of the 3DS makes DS releases more risky for publishers nowadays.

better late than never...

Stupid french and germans...

Face the future.. Gamecenter ID: nikkom_nl (oh no he didn't!!)

Somehow I thought it was coming out soon after Kingdoms of Amalur, where did I get that idea :(
My 2 most anticipated games of 2012, this and TLG, are I guess now my most anticipated games of 2013.
There's still a small chance for a Q4 NA release?

Good news for Kingdoms of Amalur I guess, I'll be buying that instead for now.
