Hi Nintendo fan. Some of us are over 12 years old and find instructions like *SHAKE CONTROLLER TO DEFEAT ENEMIES!!!* or *TOUCH SCREEN TO START* a mood killer.

You should bloody well know when to touch the screen and when not to. If you get prompted to do stuff (see QTE complaints) then immersion is lost.

I bought my vita this morning and I was really shocked by the screen size, the whole thing looks great. I've only played Hot Shots Golf so far but it is as fun and addictive as ever. I've got Uncharted so I will play it tomorrow after work. The interface is nice, but I wish it had button support and it bums me out that ps1 games don't work yet =/.

software - a little weak ! -awsome line up ya right i dont see a single title rated 9 or above and the highest scoring game is a soccer game at 8.0

nintendo knows what their doing as for sony -- well games wise their good titles are the usual ps3 stuff

i dont think they got a clue what a handheld needs , and i cant wait for brain age luigis mansion 2 paper mario super mario land 2 kid icaris marioparty 9 pokemon white 2 and killzone -thats really the only thing vita has im waiting for ,
for now until sony gets in gear because 3ds did an awsome job of getting third party games out left and right from wwe to nascar to driver to 2 resident evil games .

thats the kind of line up vita should be getting but is not so far

its been out for 3 days in the usa and a few mos in japan yet sony has no long term plan for this nor does its third party
my overall impressions on the vita it self is its awsome

the software atm is bare

and like many i am bummed by  the lack of psp download support for certain titles cause i got 2 titles i got for free for the psp and cant use them because the memory card i have is full for psp 1 ,  

and i thought vita would solve this problem  -w my 8gig card ..    not about to go out and spend more on psp  ,  sorry sony ,   

and ---  also the touch for menu is troublesome ,  

i want to use my buttons or sticks   same for the browser!  

the very good thing about vita is its music player just like 360 i can listen to  music while playing games if the games ever freakin come   ,  

 asphalt and modnation is all i got and i plan to get uncharted  ,    besides them i dont know what else i played hustle kings and unit 13 demos -- hustle kingsj ust a pool game and  unit 13 was average  shooting game,  

I have not purchased any next gen handheld. Vita seems cools, but 3DS is still my 1st choice if I get one at all. I am usually at work or at home, I cannot play games at work, and at home i have a kickass PC/PS3/Wii so Handhelds dont really have a niche for me. Oh and when I go on trips I usually drive the entire way...

When I was in Iraq my DSXL got good use, so if I get deployed again I may upgrade to 3DS.

The system is very nice. I'm currently waiting for PS1 classics to be compatible.

The system just came out lol, give it time. There is a long list of games that will be released on the vita.
 I don't know why you say Sony needs to do what Nintendo did, the 3DS had a very lackluster beginning. A lot of people are claiming the vita to have the best software lineup launch.

Actually Fifa sits at 7th position metacriticwise, what are you talking about? The scores of launch titles are very high. It took PSP quite a while to get games in the 87-88 range and there are not much of them.

I loved how he says Sony needs to do what Nintendo did and then talks about Metacritic. Vita destroys the 3DS launch so far metascorewise.
